Q:Solar Panel Voltage Question?
Hmmm (8v -7v)/ 0 ohms .... shakes head....
Q:how much is one solar panel?
no one has answered because you asked a question that cannot be answered. It is exactly the same question as how much is a car?. Do you want a passive solar heating panel, a solar electric panel, .5 Volts, ,000,000 BTUs, do you want just the panel or the panel installed and functioning, or what? the answer is between $5 and $5,000,000.
Q:What is the anatomy of a solar panel?
You've probably seen calculators that have solar cells -- calculators that never need batteries, and in some cases don't even have an off button. As long as you have enough light, they seem to work forever. You may have seen larger solar panels -- on emergency road signs or call boxes, on buoys, even in parking lots to power lights. Although these larger panels aren't as common as solar powered calculators, they're out there, and not that hard to spot if you know where to look. There are solar cell arrays on satellites, where they are used to power the electrical systems. You have probably also been hearing about the solar revolution for the last 20 years -- the idea that one day we will all use free electricity from the sun. This is a seductive promise: On a bright, sunny day, the sun shines approximately ,000 watts of energy per square meter of the planet's surface, and if we could collect all of that energy we could easily power our homes and offices for free.
Q:would a lazier work on a solar panel?
lazier ? Do you mean laser? Solar panels are made to respond to all visible wavelengths as well as IR frequencies. So yes, it will respond to a laser, if the beam were not too bright. Too concentrated a beam could burn out the cell.
Q:what are the parts of a solar panel?
Great answer Bill, I am just going to add aluminum frame and plastic clear cover on top of cells. The reason I am adding this is because after all this is installed then we have solar panel. Which as new looks and performs great but after a little while needs to be maintained. All factory warranties require solar panels maintenance to keep the warranty and optimum performance.
Q:Are solar panels worth it?
There are two officially advanced desert storm offices with true solar equipping. The systems are both from Nasa type scientists both private property sales. The use of California for the study is because it requires 30 hours per month to keep the satellite sector in alignment. The owner was very specific to each company that all uses had to have junior sim companies for wider availability. The fact remains solar energy is magic, cost of a large ranch in the original maker was reduced with larger needs like barns, greenhouses, spas, and guest cabins by 78%. An average house would not save. The technology best junior designers is around 5000 and will save 25,000 in some high cost locations per lifetime.
Q:Solar Panel Question...?
Nice enough idea you have there, but practical reality is waiting to bring you back to your senses. The appliances you want to operate take a lot of power. You would need an awful lot of solar cells or a very cumbersome windmill to provide sufficient energy for them. You will find that for a mobile kitchen, an ordinary generator running on gasoline or diesel will be much less expensive to buy and maintain, less trouble to haul around, and much easier to replace if necessary. Considering that propane will probably prove less expensive yet, go with that for as many appliances as possible.
Q:What is a good type of solar panel to get for my house?
Solar water heating panels are often heavy, depending on their design. Solar electric panels are rarely heavy - at mabye 3 lbs. per square foot, including mounting racks, they are not much heavier than typical roofing materials. Whether the panels pay for themselves is a highly individualized answer, dependent on your state and local rebates (if any), how much sun your area gets, and the cost of your electricity. Just about any Californian can break even, but it can take 5-20 years. Prices are dropping, so this should get better next year (but federal tax credits expire - could be renewed, a Democratic president would be unlikely to veto). A house that is conservative in electrical usage (this usually means no air conditioners in the summer or electric heat in the winter) generally has enough roof area to supply 00% of its electrical needs. We have 0% of our roof dedicated to panels, and it supplies essentially 00% for us. The best way to get answers to your questions is to ask a few solar companies to do a free analysis and quote on your house. You can always say no. If you're thinking of doing it yourself, that's possible, but not trivial. It's also possible that a professional could install it for less than you could if you bought the parts yourself and installed it yourself. We installed our own, but the experience is a little dated - from 2006. There's a video at the bottom of the page below, if you want to see what we did.
Q:Do solar panels effect birds and/or other animals?
mynameismud, you are hilarious. I cried i laughed so hard. Holy crap, how old are you?
Q:What are solar cells made of?
A okorder.com/, or resistance—vary when light is incident upon it) which, when exposed to light, can generate and support an electric current without being attached to any external voltage source, but do require an external load for power consumption.
