Nothing really....Getting out of the bed is really the biggest deal. My 16 month old has been in his toddler bed for about a month and I don't have a problem out of him. The other morning I heard him fall out of the bed...he jumped up and came in my room but that just told me i need to move his guard to the middle of the bed instead of the top because he is a wild sleeper... No... Bedding is supposed to be comfortable, and what if they were somehow able to get onto something higher up in the cage and then they fell? If there were rocks as bedding, the hamster would get hurt. You need to get soft, nest-able bedding for him, and if you can’t afford it then you shouldn’t have gotten a pet. As the owner, you have specific responsibilities that cannot be shirked off.

Well, are you itching yet ? if it was over a week ago you are probably all right ,but they are highly cathable. Bed Bugs is a nice way to say Scabies, or better yet , Body Lice . Also like hair lice , they can move around . good luck
