Q:The cost of carpet replacement.?
Not too much if you go mid-grade. Also concider putting flooring down, they have nice linonium that looks like wood or stone nowadays, easy to clean, put area rug ontop. Go to Lowes or a Home Depot, ask questions...they can give you rough estimates.
Q:How much will my carpet cost me?
You have 35.6 square yards so take that times 25 and you end up with $890.00 for that much carpet. Don't forget the pad and installation fee, sometimes it is included sometimes it is not. How I got my answer is 20*16=320 sqft. There are 9 square feet in a square yard so you divide 320/9=35.55555555555556 any carpet seller will round this off to 35.6 square yards. take 35.6sqyd * $25 = $890.00 for that much carpet. To Rob S remind me never to buy carpet from you! to get the square feet of the room you multiply the length and width 20*16 = 320 sqft for the room. Now I know that carpet rolls come in 12 and 15 foot wide rolls, and that the carpet can be sold either way by the sqyd or sqft. Just because you do it one way does not mean it is the only way.
Q:Carpet under wood floor?
It would be extremely unlikely that carpet would be underneath hardwood. Quite often you will find the opposite: hardwood flooring is often found underneath carpet. Hardwood flooring requires fastening to a very solid surface, which carpet does not provide. You should go to a floor heat register in a room in question, and take the vent cover off of the register. You will find a perfect dissection of the flooring layers, with the subfloor at the very bottom. What you find in between that and the hardwood will answer your question. Hope that helps!
Q:I am currently in Afghanistan and need help picking out an oriental rug.?
if you are looking for a good rug you should know or learn the differences ...wool is the best but it should be worsted so it doesnt shrink as much or bleed colors.alot of those rugs are hand made which is good but alot are manufactured so be careful also beware of the prices obviously you have a laptop so do a lot of research on carpets their textiles and history of area rugs you can get some real good bargains but you will have haggle and jew them down on thier prices cause if they are say asking 200.00 you should pay no more than 90 to 100 understand happy rug hunting
Q:What should I pay attention to purchasing carpet?
How to choose carpet, buy Carpet, want to recognize material first. The simplest way is to remove a few pieces of wool from the carpet, and then identify the material of the carpet according to the burning conditions and the smell. Wool without burning flame, smoke, blistering, smell, ashes are solid black shiny, with a finger on the broken pressure; no flame combustion of nylon fiber, rapidly kink, melting into jelly, a leathery Brown hard sphere after cooling, not easy to crush, a faint smell of celery yellow flame; polypropylene, fiber curling, rapidly melting, almost no ashes, after cooling into not easily crushed lump; acrylic fiber combustion is relatively slow, bitter smell, ashes to brittle black lumps; polyester fiber flame yellow white color, very bright, smokeless, ashes into the black lump. Through the above method, it is easy to identify the types of materials, avoid deception. The thumb on the carpet, as quickly restored after, said woven cashmere density and flexibility are better; or the carpet bending, more difficult to see the mat, said Plush knitted more closely, more durable, as the weight of villi can be read on the label instructions. When purchasing carpet, we should pay attention to whether the factory has the guarantee of dustproof, antifouling, wear-resisting and static electricity control. Generally excellent household carpet, all wear resistance, anti-static, antifouling treatment. In addition, we should also pay attention to the location of carpet laying and the amount of walking. Different activity areas should choose different materials such as carpet, hall, hall, it is necessary to choose a higher density, wear-resistant carpet (such as the short loop velvet, velvet twist); a small amount of activity places such as bedroom, you can choose a plush high, soft carpet (such as velvet).
Q:alternative cheap way to clean carpet?
I have white carpets (oatmeal) and sometimes 12 children running around counting all the neighborhood boys and the small children I watch + my 3 young boys. I washed them until they started to wrinkle only to find them getting dirty with in weeks. I then found Sears brand of Dry Carpet Cleaner which costs $26 dollars for a large box (in the appliance maintenance department) and it works awesome. It picks up spots that have been there forever and leaves the house smelling soooo fresh! It drys (you must lightly mist and brush in) in about 2 hours, and you will be amazed. Because there are no soap residues left behind, the carpet stays clean with regular vacuuming! I have my own carpet cleaning machine (high end model) which I am now getting rid of it! Try it, you will never go back to shampooing carpets again!
Q:can ironing the rug kill fleas and eggs?
Throw rug or a huge rug or wall-to-wall carpet? Ironing a rug may melt the fibers if it is a polyester fiber rug or carpet. I do not think that the iron with produce enough heat to reach the base of the rug fibers. IOW, not a good idea. What the linked sites recommend is steam cleaning, even a professional steam cleaning. Be sure to let the professional know your rugs have a flea infestation. The cost might be a couple hundred for a professional steam cleaning, but that is worth the cost to be rid of fleas . If you have small rugs you can run them through the a hot washer load, and depending on fabric, a dryer.
Q:Whar are the best steam cleaner fof carpets?
Stains need to be treated before steam cleaning. The best cleaner in the world won't remove the stains by itself.
Q:How can you get rid of the oil on the carpet? Jipan high master!
Suggest you: first wipe the dirt with alcohol, see if you can erase, if not, use vinegar, and if not yet, then please go to the 4S shop.
Q:Is carpet cleaning a good business?
This Site Might Help You. RE: Is carpet cleaning a good business? Im trying to find ways to make money for a low cost. I live in and area where there is around 5 other carpet cleaning businesses.
