Look for cracked or failing welds or joints. Those are frequent issues with office chairs over time. If you locate one clean the metal and apply a new weld. That central mount point used without bracing is a really bad design used by most chairs. The metal flexes and fatigues. Especially when moving around and leaning.

Q:I rented fifty chairs for my in home wedding because I invited fifty guests. I am concerned that some people will not come and this will make the room feel empty. Should I not set up all of the chairs until the thirty five or so already set up are filled or just set them all up to begin with?

I would set them all up, because some people will put an empty chair between them and the next set of guests. And you certainly don't want to set up 35 chairs, and then 10 minutes before the ceremony starts have someone fooling around with setting up 15 more chairs, ya know? Set them all up, it will be fine. let one hour of work be x and let one unit of money spent be y so to make a chair using method 1 you need 1.5x + 6y similarly you need 2x + 5y to build a chair using method 2 Let a be the number of chairs you build using method 1 Let b be the number of chairs you build using method 2 so a(1.5x + 6y) + b(2x + 5y) = 273x + 894y so 6a + 5b = 894 and 1.5a + 2b = 273 so 6a + 8b = 1092 so 8b - 5b = 1092 - 894 so b = 66 so a = (894-5*66)/6 = 94 so refurnish 94 chairs using method 1 and refurnish 66 chairs using method 2

Q:ok so we went to a Vegas casino buffet my nephew was put on the high chair after a few minutes it broke and he fell and hit his head. He cried for a little bit and we went home after dinner at night his mom noticed a big bump on his head so we took him to the ER. My question is can I sue the restaurant for hospital bills

no you are not a legal guardian. The mother CAN sue, but be aware that casinos have cameras EVERYWHERE and they keep all the footage in storage for years.

Q:Normally she was eating in her high chair. But recently I had a C-section and they said no lifting and she is 28 pounds. also, I think she is growing out of her high chair because she tries to stand up in it and rocks it and she can tip over. So, what do I do? Do I get her a booster seat? Does it have buckles? What do you recommend? Today I tried to feed her on the couch but it can be messy and she was running around with food in her hands.P.s. I have to hold my newborn often, so I have only 1 free hand if any.

Definately a good deal... but coming from RAC make sure you check for tears and odors before buying.

Q:I have some chairs that have cushions down half the back and on the seat. I want to recushion the top and make it wider and the cushion go all the way down to the seat. (Turn them into Parsons chairs) What would be the easiest way to do this?

I would use foam, wledbond, plywood, string, buttons and fabric. First measure the base of your chair at the seat and figure out the hieght you would like the parsons chairs to be. If you chair is 18 wide at the base, and you want them to be 24 high, then you would need your plywood to be 14 x 21 high {approx.}. You can get this cut for a fee {usually} at any lumber or home improvement store. Take the lumber and attach it to the chair with weldbond and clamps {and l have no idea of your chairs but weldbond works on metal and wood} or anything that will hold it tight while it hardens. Let this be glued firmly and completely dry...for extra security you can tie with rope {it will be covered with the foam} . Get some 2 {or more} thick foam and cut it so you have one long strip that is 50 long by 28 wide. Now on the inside seat part of the back of the chair, take a staple gun {or if you have little hands like me, use a nail and hammer} and attach string every four inches or so in a grid layout} Now take the foam and make holes with a knife or sizzors to line up with string. Take your weld-bond and spread it evenly over the plywood {be generous} front and back. Take the foam and lay it beginning on the inside bottom edge, pulling through the string as you apply it to the glued surface, bring it over the top, and then down the back of the chair, you will have excess on the sides and final bottom edge, but this can be trimmed later. leave to dry on the floor lightly tie and hold in place with string. Take fabric and cut to the same size, drape it in the same manner, making holes and pulling through string Attach with upholstorers nails. Tke the string and attach big beautiful funky buttons. They will look fabulous!!!
