You answered your own question. The bank is not mentioned in the Constitution, so then why would the government think it has the power to create one? The Constitution lays out exactly what Congress has the power to pass laws regarding, and what powers it has, while it does not mention anything about a bank.

No. It uses power from the Sun, and if it did not receive power from the sun it would stop functioning. It is able to continue to operate at night or in heavy overcast conditions on banked power (batteries, or other), but only for a limited time (That might be one of the reasons it was operated in the desert). A true perpetual motion machine would be one which did not take energy from anything outside of itself. Such a thing is impossible.

Q:if a power factor (pf) correction has been done to the main panel of electrical system, will it correct the power factors of down stream equipments. can the pf improve by install separate capacitor banks along with the main panel.

Power factor improvement is not a precise science, we normally improve to 0.95 lagging to avoid slipping into pf1 or unity as parallel resonance will occur and the capacitor fuses will blow. Improvement at the main panel is the most practical method as you are dealing with the average of the pf of all of the loads on the system. The advantage of this is that the pf is unlikely to change rapidly and the pf relay can keep up with these changes easily. Break times and lunch are exceptions to this. pf improvement must be automatic as loads such as electric motors have varying pf's according to the load on the motor. So a band saw motor will have a fairly good pf when cutting, but a low pf when idling, similarly, a welding transformer will have a fairly good pf when welding is in progress, but a low pf when no arc is struck. pf Improvement at the load will reduce the current drawn by the load and may assist in reducing cable size, but do not over correct, fit a smaller than expected capacitor bank to allow for the better pf on load.

Sure. It means your power supply, the one you have in your hands, has been operated on a load bank that draws the maximum rated power from the supply for a specific amount of time. It is similar to having an automobile engine run on a test stand at maximum design RPM for a specific amount of time. It is a good thing. Typically a sample of the production run is tested, perhaps 1 in 50, this way and all are plugged in for a few moments to make sure they operate and produce acceptable voltages but that test fails to isolate marginal components. The power supply normally won't be operated long enough for the whole power supply to get to full operating temperature. Temperature is what kills electronics. As components get hot their values change. That change is frequently in the direction that allows more current flow. More current means more heat and this vicious circle continues until something smokes and the supply stops working, best case, or it sets something on fire, worst case. The company that built your supply cared enough to test every supply it makes to the same degree as the cheaper companies test sample supplies. You shouldn't have any trouble with a unit tested this way. At least not for a long time. Congratulations, it sounds like you have an eye for the better stuff on the shelf.

Q:Hi i'm 16 years old and last year i picked up a 1987 chevy k20. Even though it is an 87 it doesnt have the throttle body injection it has a edelbrock 4 barrel carb. All it has is that carb a set of headers and dual straight pipe exhaust. Can anyone tell me about how much hp and torque i should be putting out as is? Also if theres any other ways i can increase power without breaking the bank. Its going to be a daily driver that i wanna be able to have a little fun with in the fields and in the mud, and hill climbs and so forth. Also i will be using it to haul trailer loads of scrap. Any suggestions?

The carb won't add any power. If it's got an edelbrock perfomer intake on it that might gain you 8 HP The headers and exhaust will get you about 20-30 HP gain The biggest gain comes from the heads. A good mod for added powe, perfomance and fuel mileage is a vortec head swap. Used 1996-00 chevy truck, van SUV L31 350 vortec heads. Casting # 062 or 906. These are the best flowing production gen 1 sbc heads and in fact they flow better than some aftermarket heads. You can pick a used set up for $200-400, then you will need an aftermarket vortec styled intake for 4bbl carn. New these run around $150 for the summit racing house brand, or pro products brand, around $200 for edelbrock Then you can sell yours used on craigslist for $50 and recoupe some of the money back. Then a $65 set of fel pro MS90000T intake gaskets, $40 set of fel pro 1094 4.100 x .015 head gaskets The vortec heads are 62cc chamber and the stock head gaskets is .028 thick so these two will bump up your compression alittle as well. Doing the above will gain you about 50 HP for $550 If you wanted to, at time of head swap would be pefect for a cam swap. Put in a 204/214@.050 cam with a 112LSA With the vortec heads, intake, cam, head gaskets, your headers and pipes you should have an easy 310 HP engine

Q:all i need is a good overall balanced sound on my van. i have never installed a head unit or amps on a vehicle. this is for an old club wagon family+guest hauler.

if your not super serious about sound quality, I suggest making all your purchases at walmart. they actually have pretty decent name brand equipment for a very low price. pioneer and sony to name a few. you can get an deck, amp and a sub for about 200 bucks. if you can't install them yourself, you can always take them somewhere else and get them all installed.

Q:I recently took over power of attorney for my grandparents and noticed that they have a lot of miscellaneous monthly bank debits that they aren't aware of. One of them is a monthly charge from STC Travel Entertainment. I have no idea what it is and have been unsuccessful in tracking down anything on the internet. I need to cancel it for them, please help!

Tell the bank that now that you have power of attorney, you have discovered a fraudulent charge on their account. See my source. You should probably close the account and open a new one for them.
