Q:Hi, I have an old t-mobile phone. The 2 year contract expired probably 5 years ago. Now I want to get a new phone and also want to move to pageplus. I am wondering how should I do it?Should I get a CDMA phone, then stick my SIM card from my old t-mobile phone to this new phone, then call pageplus to port the number to my new phone? How exactly does it work? Thanks.
T-Mobile phones are not compatable with Page Plus. Page Plus uses Verizon phones. Page Plus does not use sim card with their phones. You will need to buy a Verizon phone that works with Page Plus. Then you will have to call/contact Page Plus and have them Port your phone number with T-Mobile to Page Plus. You may want to contact Page Plus and see if they will port a phone number from T-Mobile, before you buy a phone.
Q:I have just received an upgrade from T-Mobile. Whilst I like the phone I want to unlock it so I can put a cheaper SIM in for my trips to Jersey. Only one network on Jersey (UK).The phone is a Samsung U800 which seems to prove hard to unlock??An internet service could not help and Tmobile says it takes 28 days.Does anyone know of a high street shop that could unlock and not charge that much?Cheers
Dont go to the High streets, you are better off going to the small independant shops. they have the software to get it sorted for you and the longest they will take is 24 hours at a cost of 5 - 10 quid
Q:hi im just wondering which phones youtube will work on i dont meen mobile youtube or emtube, i meen the actual full desktop version, i think the iphone does? and maybe some nokia n series? please answer thanks
The iphone can only go to the mobile site. any windows mobile (5.0+) or symbian s60 phones have installable third party browsers that have embedded flash. skyfire, opera mobile, and theres one smaller one (i forget) natively, ive only ever found two (well three) phones that have flash embedded in the browser, the nokia n95 and n82. The upcoming nokia n96 will have embedded flash.
Q:How to identify the phone true and false?
On the spot unpacking inspection, open the phone, usually inactive state, there are early activation.
Q:I have a virgin mobile phone I purchased about three years ago. Do they allow free upgrades or discounts on newer models? Anyone had any experiance with them?
I used to work at Virgin Mobile and when I was there I don't believe that they had free phone upgrades. I know that they would just give offers to random people, but for a phone upgrade all you could do is buy a new phone. The only time you would get a cheaper or new phone would be if they were having a sale on the phone or a promotion. Things might have changed but thats how it was. Good luck and I hope I was able to help you out.
Q:I am at a loss right now because i cant find the phone that fits me i love the blackberry tour but the no wifi thing really bothers me. i started to look at the windows mobile phones because of the fact of internet explorer mobile which in my opinion is a much easier to navigate browser than the black berry one and also the microsoft officebut the short battery life and the fact that most of them are touch screen turns me away from themm( i just dont do touch screen).I definately want a qwerty keyboardAny advice on a good phone???
Blackberries are great. They have great hardware, a decent appstore, and some of the best keyboards. Windows Mobile has a lot of choices of phones to choose from but the fact is windows mobile is not a very reliable OS. Its usuable but what I'm saying is I prefer the blackberry (although WM probably has better web browsing). Phones to choose: Blackberry- Curve 8900, Bold, Storm 2 (no QWERTY) WM- Jack, Epix, Blackjack 2 (All of these have INCREDIBLE battery life), then any HTC phone with WM.
Q:i want to change my t-mobile phone but how much will it cost, how long till it take effect, number to call (link to number will be helpful), and when i call what type of questions will they ask me before i can change my number

Q:(if you havent had this happen or your not 100% sure. please dont answer!)My best friend had his T-Mobile phone stolen 5 days ago. It was a RZR V3. He didnt cancel the contract or the SIM card, so he could see who was being called, to attempt to find out who took it. The calls were all over the place, in different cities around here. Is there anyway to track his phone and/or SIM to see what area he lives in? Maybe the handset? Hes dreading calling T-Mobile because he owes money, but could they do anything? And finally, what happens if the SIM card gets changed?
Your friend needs to cancel the phone, because the calls are not going to help find where the phone is. Cancel the phone, then file a police report. If you file the police report, T-Mobile may be able to refund you for some of the calls made. T-Mobile really can't do anything but turn the SIM card off though. If the SIM card is removed and a new one is put in, then that phone potentially belongs to someone else. Good luck!
Q:Hi,I can't find a decent, easy-to-read (and understand) website which will thoroughly explain most of the advantages and disadvantages of mobile phone masts. So I decided that maybe some of you clever people could help me! You can either:a) Give me a good link to a page about the advantages and dasadvantages of mobile phone masts;OR:-b) You could type them in your answer to me if you know a few good ones already. Thanks v. v. v. much in advance! :D
Hi, Mobile phone masts are really antennas for base-stations. In communications the cell phone talks to the base station, and vice versa. I am guessing you are asking for disadvantages from a non technical communications standpoint, like: what would happen if we didn't have them? If not, let me know, I'll give you a technical answer. We wouldn't be able to use cell phones if we didn't have towers. Cell phones use the base stations to connect to the public grid, and the public communication grid is all cables and wires. Since you need a way to get from wireless to wire you have masts.
Q:I found this online:If you leave your mobile phone charger plugged into the mains you will use the same amount of electricity whether or not your mobile is being charged. So when you've finished charging your phone unplug your charger! Is it true? Surely if the phone isn't connected, there is no circuit, so no power will be used.?
Firefoxy gave the surprising answer to this. If the wall socket is on then a transformer will nevertheless soak up electrical energy, dropping maximum of it as warmth. circulate on, wrap it up in a woollen jumper for 10 minutes (now no longer or it is going to become a hearth risk). After this time you will experience how a lot warmth has outfitted up in purely a jiffy. If the wall socket is switched off then there is not any electrical energy utilization. If there's a thunder hurricane interior of reach you may desire to journey a rapid surge in the electricty grant that blows the transformer, that's why electric powered products would desire to continually be unplugged (no longer purely switched off) for the time of a hurricane if there is not any anti-surge risk-free practices.
