Oh ok you reposted, lol. This is the second time I've seen a question about renting mobile phones and I can honestly say I've never even heard of the concept. I don't think you can rent mobile phones, not in the UK anyway. The best thing for you to do is to buy a cheap prepay mobile phone for about ?30 in London, put ?10-20 credit on it and that should last you for your trip. You will be able to use it to roam throughout Europe, I recommend you buy one on the O2 network.

If you go on the T-Mobile site, you will not be able to purchase a phone out right without a plan. If you go into a store, I don't think you would be able to either. You could always try going on to OKorder or into your local WalMart WalMart has a nice selection of T-Mobile phones that you can buy outright with out a contract.

Well I have virgin mobile and to change your area code or full number is free and must be done over the phone with a different phone, also there are no roaming charges for virgin. If you are in a different state it works the same (been there done that) there are no charges for anything you do not add to your phone and NO you can't get your money back unless you have not used any minutes on the phone, I just went through this last month but I didn't use any minutes and was refunded. Virgin mobile is not like most pay as you go phones there is no roaming fee and you can't do anything if you do not have money to pay for it in your top-up. Just call VM or keep the number.
