Because most machinery present an inductive load and so has a less-than-unity power factor. The current peak lags the voltage peak in the two waveforms. However, as the current is drawn at a lower voltage (away from the peak), the load current is higher to get the same overall power to the machine. eg. if it took 20% more current to make up for the voltage phase offset, a 1000W load would be taking the same current as a 1200W load at unity power factor. That's the VA rating, it's equivalent to watts at unity power factor.

Hi there! Well, first things first; you say you are skinny. Gain weight first. You need fat to build muscle. Between 5 and 10 kilos should do the trick. Second; when you have gained weight, start eating lots of proteine, they are the muscle's building blocks. You'll find it in pork, chicken, turkey, shrimps etc. Third; with a tread mill and a rowing machine, you'll have more than enough:) Start wormin up, some people need longer than others, but you should really fil hot and start sweating. So then you could work on your rowing machine, they almost take every muscle in your body after what I have hard. But I also recomend pushups, squats, and situps(also do situps for your back! Very important!). Don't do crunches, they suck! Do one of these, or both, in stead; lie on your back, lift your feet in a 45 degree angle from the floor, and write the numbers from 1 to 10 in the air, and down again. The other one is just like it, but here you rais your feet all the way towards the roof, and use your abs to lift your bum of the floor as high as you can. For your triceps(muscle just beneth your elbow), turn your back to a bed, chair or something, but your hands on the edge, and then sit down on the floor. Use your arms to pull yourself up and down. This should be more than enough to get you started. Remember to dring lots of water and monitor your progress. It will help your motivation. Search the web for more exercises you can do without equipment. How long it will take depends on your genes and how hard you work, so it's difficult to say. Anyway, good luck!

The simple reason is that Hydraulics utilizes fluid as opposed to Pneumatics (air) although both are referred to as fluid power , the liquid normally oil used in hydraulics is simply uncompressible. SO THE FLUID is essentially stronger than STEEL when a pump pushes the oil to a device like a cylinder, imagine the fluid being a solid BAR of STEEL say 6 inches in diameter, it is literally like pushing a bar of steel. Heavy equipment say could normally operate at say 2500 PSI out of the pump, since the pump pressure is essetially regulated, it is simply a matter of selecting the desired force and sizing say the cylinder (for instance) appropriatey. Since: Force = Pressure (pump pressure) times Area (of the cylinder) The forces are absolutely staggering with a quarter of a million pounds force off a 10 cylinder at 2500 psi pump output. the chart below may not have been converted properly, but if you work the equations, you will see that the incompressibility of the fluid is the secret to limitless amounts of power. Usually safety is the only limiting concern with hydraulics as it is easy to die working close to anything with such reserve and speed. You must be doubling the distance the piston travels. The time is one second, so effectively you are doubling the speed. Q2 === Jerk in this sense is one of those wonderful descriptive words that works in the real world, but is hard to put into a formula. I wonder if you have to do that. Certainly the force increases because the turn around time is much smaller when the frequency is doubled. That means time in this formula F = m*(vf - vi)/t is much smaller and that makes the force larger. Q3 == So machinery must break down because the force on moving the piston up and down has become much larger.
