Q:Area rug issues?
You need to buy a rug pad. It's a piece of rubber like fabric that goes under your rug and prevents the rug from moving, bunching or curling on hard floors or carpet. You can get one at Bed Bath and Beyond for like 70-100 bucks... kinda pricey I know, but you may be able to find them cheaper.
Q:question for carpet installers?
Let them lay the carpet, and then screw your tracking down.
Q:Has anyone used a Rug Doctor you rent from the supermarket?
I have used them many years ago before I bought my own steam cleaner. They are fine and not all that expensive. Like any steam cleaner it applies soap and water and then sucks it out of the carpet leaving the carpet damp not wet. No you don't have to leave windows open. When it is done the carpet is barely even damp if done right. I much prefer my own steam cleaner or at times hiring Stanley Steemer for a whole house job. But the rentals work fine for the money. They also offer upholstery cleaner so it's a great way to clean your furniture at the same time.
Q:About how much does a big persian rug cost?

Q:I want to decorate my house with contemporary rugs?
If you’re looking for a contemporary accent piece for your home, shop our selection of modern area rugs and hall runners. We offer something for every style including stripes, solids, round rugs, multicolored rugs and oversized runners. If you have any questions regarding our contemporary rugs, please call our Customer Service Consultants!
Q:Nail polish+ carpet any suggestions?
all you can do is keep applying nail polish remover. you need the acetone in the polish remover to soften and dissolve the nail polish. dribble on nail polish remover let it set for a little bit and blot it with paper towel. repeat until nail polish is removed. it's going to take a long time.
Q:Does CVS sell any powder carpet cleaners ?
pretty sure they dont...walmart or a dollar store does though
Q:How do I get nail polish off a carpet?
You can usually just cut the nail polish off with scissors. Dissect any clumps first by cutting them in half or thirds or smaller. Then just cut the very tips of the fibers. Work slowly. Don't cut a single millimeter more than you have to and pull up while cutting. This will help prevent divots in the carpet. Try your best to cut just one or two fibers at a time...not whole clumps. This will work unless you have already used a solvent and worked the polish further into the carpet. Also...cutting the polish works on shag, frieze, and plush carpets, but not loopy carpets, like Berber. If you've worked the polish further into the carpet or if you have a loopy carpet, you can fix the problem with a carpet transplant. Carpet transplant: 1. Cut the stained area out using a razor knife. Be careful to cut only the carpet, not the padding under it. 2. Cut a replace piece of carpet from somewhere no one sees, like from inside of a closet. If you have leftover carpet that matches, use this. 3. Trace around the ruined piece of carpet on a piece of paper. This will be your template for the new piece. You want an EXACT match in both shape and size. 4. Use your template to cut the replace piece. 5. Glue or sew the new piece into place. If you use glue, make sure it is waterproof glue. If you would rather sew the piece to the existing carpet, you will need a curved needle. The repair should be undetectable once you're done.
Q:What problem should pay attention to if laying carpets on the first floor, does need to lay a damp proof film?
See the backing material of your carpet, and if it is soft, moisture-proof flim must be laid, PVC doesn't need!
Q:How to Eliminate Cat Urine Odors in carpet?
Well, my solution was to get rid of all the carpets in the house, and just have washable cotton mats at the doors, in the bathrooms, and in the kitchen. You live with cats, you don't live with broadloom. However, there are products out there that can be used. Check with your local pet store, or with your vet, or, even with a local cleaning company - especially one that cleans apartments, and find out what they are using. The other thing you have to do is figure out why the cat is not using the litter box, and is going to the carpet. If there is no health problem, the number one suspect is that the litter box is not kept spotlessly clean for your cat(s). Good luck.
