Q:What are good brands of upright vacuum cleaners?
I have the Dyson Animal...It works REALLY well! We have 2 cats 1 HUGE dog
Q:why does my vacuum cleaner smell?
Change the bag, if it has one, or wash out the dirt cup and hose if it has a dirt cup. Change any filters.
Q:Can you help me with science about vaccum cleaner fans? Please!?
the fan causes the vacuum cleaner to suck-in the air. as the moving air passes by the dirt particles, it's the INTERACTION of the moving air and the dirt that causes the dirt to be drawn along with the air. basically, the air molecules bash into the dirt particle and impart energy (momentum) to the dirt, and this is what makes it move. if there was no air motion over the dirt, then the dirt particles would not respond to the vacuum cleaner.
Q:is there a place that will let you rent vacuum cleaners for like a few hours or a day?
Yes there are, but they usually charge so much you're better off buying your own vacuum during a good sale.
Q:Does anyone have any experience with Infinity vacuum cleaners?
get the consumers report for the month of October. they have the ratings for vaxs
Q:When was the last vacuum cleaner review in Consumer Reports magazine?
Pop into your local library and see if they have the 2010 Buying Guide that Consumer Reports puts out. That's the last one I remember seeing. However, I will warn you, I was disappointed. They rated Hoover very high and after having two of them and nothing but trouble with no results from Hoover, I went to a Bissell Healthy Home. Now happy as a clam with my vacuum.
Q:Dyson Vacuum Cleaners?
The Dyson DC04 is one of the lower priced vacuums from this manufacturer at around $250. This was also the first upright vacuum that had a clutch system on the carpet cleaning brush. This mechanism allows for the brush to stop automatically if an object becomes obstructed in the roller. No more melting the power band. This unit has a 1200 watt motor that is never clogged. The tank capacity is 1.06 gallons and the cord is 27 ½ feet long. Best of all, it is equipped with a HEPA filter for cleaner breathing by the user.
Q:best vacuums cleaners on the market today?
I am so glad that you asked that question. I had been looking for myself a vacuum cleaner until a few weeks ago. I think I have bought the best vacuum cleaner ever. Its a Eureka Altima Turbo bagless that has the attachments for stairs and also includes a self cleaning duster. I purchased it at my local Wal-Mart for 78 dollars.
Q:Which is the deference between pro and con robot vacuum cleaners? Which one do you think is the best to buy?
I have only owned one robot vacuum, and that's a Roomba Discovery. I LOVE IT!!! I do still vacuum weekly with my regular vacuum. Roomba will only get floors, and won't vacuum couches, beds, etc. This may not make a big difference to you, but if you have pets like me it's huge. Anyway, back to the question at hand. I love my Roomba. I sit it in the middle of a room once or twice a week and it keeps everything cleaner. I dust less. It's easier to vacuum when I do use the regular vacuum. If you have large open areas, you may also want to invest in the longer life battery. As for others, I have only heard what other people think. And ALL have said that the only one to own is the Roomba Discovery. I guess I lucked out starting with that one. I saw on the iRobot website the other day that they have a newer one called a Dirt Dog, or something like that. I believe that's designed for pet hair pick up so that's something to keep in mind. Cons - not many. It vacuums for you. You don't do much.
Q:I have carpet cleaners coming tomorrow morning. Do they vacuum before they clean, or am I supposed to do that?
No, they do not vacuum before cleaning the carpeting. Can you borrow a sweeper? After the carpeting is completely dry, run your sweeper over it going in one direction, then going in another.
