Q:I had two vacuum cleaners from Bissell. One has a problem with the belt piece and can't be repaired, and the other has started to come apart (roller and roller pin, belt latch, and even the dust cup has come off the vacuum cleaner on its own and not even full.)I have been meaning to get a new vacuum cleaner since both cleaners are pretty old. I have a hard tiled floor in the bathroom, kitchen, and pantry (where my cat has her litter box), and I have a carpeted floor in both the living room and bedroom. I'm on a tight budget and I have to keep my apartment extremely clean for my landlord's random inspections,
Never buy used vacuums.
Q:I had never heard of Kirby until the other night when a couple of Kirby salesman came to my door asking if I wanted to have my carpets cleaned for free.
I used to own a Kirby. They are now about $1,500 to buy. I was not so pleased after awhile with Kirby. I now own a SEBO Automatic 4X made in Germany. It is truly the world's best made vacuum, with a life time guarantee on the drive belt. That only cost me $500.00 a year and a half ago, now $600. new. So well worth it. Truly. Kirby is loud, heavy, etc. My SEBO is lightweight, and not as noisy. One of the best investments I have ever made. As for cleaning your carpet -- Kirby usually only does a small area -- for demonstration purposes only. Take care.
Q:I'm a guy who isn't extremely familiar with vacuum cleaners so maybe someone can help. I was running around the house with my Kenmore Progressive vacuum cleaner and I accidentally pushed the adjustable thingy that lets you set the height of the vacuum. This adjuster thing is about halfway down the silver tube. The second I touched it, the carpet cleaning part shut off so it's just sucking air. I pushed everything together as hard as I could trying to get it to come back on but with no luck. I had been vacuuming for quite a while. Do these things shut off when they get too hot and stay off until they cool? It seems kind of fishy that it died right when i touched the adjuster thing though. Any ideas?
I suspect that your vacuum shuts off the beater bar (carpet cleaning part) when the height adjustment is put on low. This allows the vacuum to clean a non-carpeted floor without the beater bar kicking dirt all around the kitchen. Once you figure out how to properly re-set the height adjustment, the beater bar should work again. You may have to check to make sure the beater bar drive belt is still in place. I don't know why you had such a hard time re-setting the height adjustment, but evidently you were doing something wrong, as it should not take that much muscle.
Q:I've tried various vacuums through the years but none seem to do well on the edges of the carpet. Anyone tried a really good one for that?
We have got to find this out and let the world know, I thought I was the only one that had dirty edges. (Not being a smart @ss)
Q:Are tornadoes nature's vacuum cleaners?
well they do go after a lot of trailer parks!!!
Q:I am searching for low price vacuum cleaners that do a very good job of picking up stuff and don't wear out easily. Do you know any good vacuum cleaners under $70. The lower the price is the better.
suggest.... okorder /
Q:I want to know your personal experiences about which vacuum is best (especially for deep cleaning and getting cat hair off furniture), and which are just a waste of money. Only your own experiences, please! I don't really care what your hairdresser's cousin's husband's mother said, lol!I'm planning to buy another new vacuum, and want to get the most bang for my buck, and hopefully one that will last! Thanks a bunch!
Well, I've had a Kirby since 1979 and it's still going strong. I've always had cats and dogs and whatever other critters in the house. They're expensive - I think I paid close to $500 when I bought it with all the attachments - rug shampooer, carpet cleaner, etc - but considering I've had it over 30 years, I've gotten my money's worth. I've only had to replace the belt twice. I think they cost about $6 last time I bought one.
Q:I mean money. Our company pay based on how many clients we sign. The top sales persons can sign 3 person per day on average. And that is $40 Australian dollars per sign. On my first day, I signed one customer successfully, but my boss told me that he had a problem with my working attitude. Now let's do that maths, we work 10 hours per day, and if we sign 3 people, that is $120/ 10 hours, that is $12/hour. If we are not lucky, (just like my quot;bosson that day), we could only sign 2 people, then it's $80/ 10 hours, that is $8 per hour. To compare, the a waiter in China town earns $8 per hour. And if I am not lucky, I can only sign one person, that is $4 per hour.I am not very happy with the pay and the quot;bossis having problem with my working attitude --- he wants me to work harder. Well I am currently in uni, let's be realistic, can I find a job with better pay than this? Should I leave the job or not?I have to reply to my boss if I want the job or not by tonight. Thanks
tell your boss to get screwed!!! thats so low its not funny!!!!
Q:Thank you for your help!
You okorder okorder . Good luck!
Q:Ok so our Dyson hoover has finally given up. We want a new hoover that isn't as heavy as a Dyson. We tried the smaller Dyson's today but they aren't powerful enough because we have 2 pets you see. So we tested the HOOVER DM6228 and that seemed ok. Any reviews or any recommendations of vacuum cleaners? I live in Britain by the way.
Hi there, Sorry to hear about your Dyson. If you get in touch with us free , I'm sure we can help. However, if you're considering purchasing a new cleaner, you might like to take a look at our website to learn more about our current range.
