Q:lost the original cable at a gig, but I have another cable. the outlet on the Behringer guitar amp reads quot;Use only with 250V fuse, but right above the outlet it reads 220-240 with a upside down triangle next to it (not sure if this represents volts or not...I know obviously V stands for volts, but this is a upside down solid triangle.)My power cable/cord that i found reads 10A 250VI know i should probably purchase one direct from the manufacture, but that is not possible right now. I have a gig coming up this weekend.thanks for any help.I also mention the original power cord was a two prong (that went into the outlet) - the one i might use is a 3 prong. will this still be safe? It does fit into the back of the amp perfectly.
Assuming you're in a place where the outlets provide 220 to 240 volts, it's fine. The 250 volts on the power cord just means it's good for *up to* that.
Q:will my PSone power cable work on my ps2?
If you mean on the fat PS2 then it will. The PlayStations work with each others cables, so the PS2's cables will work on the PS1 (That's how I have mine set up) and vice versa.
Q:Copper and Aluminum are being considered for the cables in a high-voltage transmission line where each must carry a current of 50A. The resistance of each cable is to be .15ohms per kilometer.A. If the line carries power from Niagra Falls to New York (500Km), mow much power is lost along the way in the cable? Compute for each choice of cable materialB. the necessary cable diameterC. mass per meter of cable Please correct if you see anything that may be offSolving for part a:Power = I deltaV, since deltaV was not given IR=deltaVso Power = (I^2)R = 50^2 x 75 = 187.5 kW lt;-- answerR= 75 since R= .15 ohms/ km x 500kmB) resistivity of copper = 1.7 x 10^-8 ohm m resistivity of al = 2.82 x 10^-8 ohm m R = (resistivity x length)/Areawhat do i use for R? is it the 0.15 ohm/km or 75 ohm?using the 75 ohm as R, I get that the radius of the copper wire is 0.0000361 m and the diameter is then 0.0000722.Am i on the right track?
As the resistivity of copper and aluminum are different,to have the the same resistance, the sections are different. The losses per cable are Ri^2 = 0.15*500*50^2 ( just for the sake of completness, the power transmission lines have three cables) If you take lenght 1km you have to use0.15 ohm, which is the same as using 500km and R =75 ohm Be careful to use the same units of lenght in resistivity and distance. You are on the right track
Q:Hi. I just purchased a hp slimline S3420F used from OKorder. (dumb move, I know) Anyway it worked for a few days and now it won't turn on. The power supply light on the back is one but the computer won't come on. I was looking in the trouble shooting guide and one thing that is suggested is to reseat the hard disk data and power cables. It says for instructions to refer to a manual that I can't get because it's on my computer. I am on a public computer now and can't upload the manual to this computer. I switched the voltage to 230 and back to 115 real quick and that worked once. Probably just a coincidence. Now it just won't boot at all. LIke I said, the green power supply light on the back of the computer is on. I can read replies from my cell phone so perhaps someone can give me some ides what to do. I'm sure the answer lies in taking it to a repair shop. :(
Re-seating is nothing more than unplugging a connection, then plugging it back in. Your real problem sound related to the 230/115 switch, if not the power supply itself.
Q:Were can i buy a replacement power cable ?
FOR WHAT??????????
Q:Just wondering if the eVGA GT 440 graphics/video card needs a power cable connect from the psu to it.I bought a PC pre-made from JB HI-FI and going to upgrade my graphics card. The one I have currently is the Radeon HD 4650 and it appears to have no cable connecting to it. There are however, some cables connecting to the motherboard near it.
No, it doesn't need one, but it's also a crappy purchase. The Radeon 6670 costs about the same, doesn't require external power, and slaps the GT 440 silly.
Q:98 dodge intrepid, wanna run power cable through the firewall without drilling a hole.
run it under the car
Q:The only thing that im worried about is that my PC power cable has three little slots where you plug it into the brick and my brick only has 2 slots, th cord still fits and powers up my xbox 360 but im just worried about it quot;fryingmy new system. Thanx
i'm sorry, yet it rather is an somewhat unusual question. Why could it no longer be secure to plug something right into a surge protector? Are there contraptions obtainable for which an electric powered surge is a good factor? No, i easily do no longer think of so. unusual.
Q:My power supply has one cable with 3 sata connectors on it. Can I connect my disc drive and hard drive on the one cable? My PSU also has a cable with 3 four pin molex connectors on it and my case has 3 fans. Can I connect all my fans to that one cable with all the molex connectors on it?
Yes to both questions. It doesn't matter whether you're connecting only harddrives to that cable or only diskdrives (aside from the fact that these are usually located a little apart from each other.) You can combine both and they will work. As for fans... If they have the molex connectors rather than standard 3-pin fan connectors, you can connect them for sure. Depending on what power supply you have, you'll probably have anywhere from 18-30amp on your 12v molex rail. Harddrives will take under 2amp, and depending on what fans you have, they'll use anywhere 0.5-3amp, so even if you have 3 extremely powerful fans drawing 3amp each (3 x 3amp = 9amp), you can safely connect 6 of such monster fans to that 12v molex rail. To be honest, I haven't met too many of such fans - most standard 120mm fans, even with leds, will use no more than 1.5amp. 80mm fans non-led fans will use about 0.3-0.5 amp. If you have a very powerful psu with 30amp on 12v rail and hundred of 80mm fans, in theory you can run all of them. In practice, I'd like to see that :)
Q:Did not find the relevant norms. Fiber optic cable should not be affected by interference, electric corrosion this piece without taking into account? More
My computer --- right-click properties. Device Manager. Look at the USB device is not there or the number. Have to reinstall the system. Also make sure your motherboard USB interface is not good. I said the interface is plug USE jumper of the root.
