Q:how do humans use plastic negatively?
Plastic surgery, it can be 100s of years and that will be what's left long after the humans decay. certain packaging that can use alternative packaging could help reduce the use of plastic. Medically plastic is great because it is easily sterilized and also helps sterile fields because a lot of plastic things are single use then thrown away. Chest tubing saves lives and they are plastic.
Q:Plastic=Bad?
Plastic doesn`t biodegrade like say paper,It takes longer As A Recycling professional I can tell you what we do with the plastic we collect. We take it to a processing center,They bale it up and resell it,to be used again for more plastic products
Q:Good Characterisics of Plastic?
Plastic vs. ? Cheap to make and purchase. Disposable (I mean recyclable). Flexible, maliable, ~non-breakable, durable, light weight. Can be made into an almost infinate types of products, various colors, transparent non-, dishwasher safe. Good as containers, e.g. milk and a variety of packaging. If it wasn't for plastic, It would be Paper or Paper at the grocery store. Neighbor ladies would host paperware parties.
Q:Pros and Cons of Injection Molded Plastic?
I own the 'Plastic Fantastic FN FiveSeven Pistol and the Springfield Armory XD in 45acp. I live in Alaska. At -55F or -65F (not wind chill) the last thing you need is something cold and metal up against your skin. I really, really like the FN for this in the winter with the plastic covered slide and all plastic receiver. The FN, loaded with 20rds, is exactly half the weight of my XD with 13rds. If I take any metal gun - rifle, pistol or shotgun - out to the range at 0--35F after just a minute, when I bring it indoors or in the car - it immediatly forms a sheet of condensation that turns to ice. This ice eventually melts and get into all parts of the gun. It about rusts before your eyes. This is why you see so much stainless in guns here...... but with the FN I don't have to worry about my Plastic Fantastic rusting. Too cool. Yes - I have had plastic failure. I bought that FN used and after 2500rds and 2 years it had an issue. I sent it back to FN HomeWorld and three weeks later UPS shows up at my doorstep with a totally new pistol kit. No questions asked. How good is that? Bottom line. I like the lightweight and fact they don't conduct cold, or, rust. The plastic has no blue to rub off. In a CCW carry pistol - you can almost forget you are carrying when wearing one...... something that never happens in a full size metal pistol.
Q:Elastic and plastic collision?
For the best answers, search on this site https://shorturl.im/avwq4 It just depends upon the materials of the colliding bodies. When the collision occurs there are stresses and hence strains are developed in the bodies. If the stresses are in elastic range, the bodies regain shape and kinetic energy. If the material is in plastic range there is no regain in shape and inelastic collision occurs. You will have to study the stress-strain curves to understand this more. You will have to first calculate stress on the bodies, i.e. force/area, then see whether it is in elastic or plastic range or a combination of both.
Q:Why are most plastic lids not recyclable, even if the container it comes with is?
plastic lids are usually thicker plastic than the container is. like milk jugs and pop bottles are a much thinner plastic than detergent bottles are and can be recycled. it takes much more energy to recycle them. all plastic is not made of the same components. it depends what they are made of. if you look on the bottom of the container and there is a number there, that tells you , and the recycler, if the item can be recycled. no number, no recycle.
Q:Alternative for plastic bags?
If you live in a rural area, you can compost a lot of your trash. Coffee grounds, vege/fruit scraps, non-ink paper, non-meat food stuffs. You can recycle plastic, metal, carboard and glass. This will leave very little in your trash can and reduce the amount of trash bags you use. When we go to wal-mart (yeah, I know) I ask the clerk for a few extra bags and use them in my kitchen trash. I got some good heavy fabric from wal-mart for $1.00 a yard and made 10 shopping bads. I keep a few in the car for when I go to a store other than the supermarket.
Q:Lost Foam Casting With Plastic?
Any organic material can be used to make a casting mold including twigs, other wood and plastics, as long as it is burned out before the metal solidifies. The problem with using anything other than foam is that foam is mostly air that is surrounded by a small amount of plastic. When the plastic is hit by the hot metal, it burns/gases off without cooling the metal enough to block its flow. For any solid organic material, the investment must be fired/baked to a high enough temperature to turn the material to ash which can be blown into the vents by the flowing metal.
Q:Plastic surgery...............?
i'm sure they can, anything is possible nowadays.
Q:Plastic CBR on Cartilage?
CBRs are excellent. Plastic is not, especially in a healing piercing. Your piercing is still healing at this point and it wasn't a great idea to change it, but it was even worse to put plastic in it. Plastic cannot be sterilized and is porous. It's meant to be worn as temporary jewelry in well healed piercings. It'd be a good idea to put your original jewelry back in and not mess with your piercing for the next few months.
