- Q:i'd like to heat press som letters onto the back of my under armour. is this possible? if yea, are there any special precations to take take? will any store that heatpresses letters do it? thanks for the help
- Under Armour, Dri-Fit and other performance fabrics can be heat pressed, but they are not the same as a nylon or polyester jersey, and that is important to know when you put lettering on. Because Under Armour is made to stretch, you want lettering that can stretch with your shirt without peeling off, cracking or wrinkling. If you take your shirt to a shop for heat pressing, you'll want them to promise you that the material they're using is made for performance fabrics. Ask them if they have a sample you can touch and stretch for yourself. One heat-press material made for performance fabric is STAHLS' SuperFILM. Right now, it comes on a roll, not pre-cut lettering. But, if the shop has a vinyl cutter, they should be able to cut SuperFILM and do your name or design easily. Good luck!
- Q:I've been lifting for about 16 months now, im around 6'7 265.My bench press max about 6 weeks ago was around 235x1 and now im having trouble just doing 205 once. I lift 4 days a week(day 1 chest and day 4 arms). My chest is still getting stronger and size is increasing just not my weights. My leg strength is going up significantly compared to my chest. I eat pretty good 3 meals a day and take protein shakes, and drink lots of water while lifting. My chest routine is Bench press(x10,x8,6,4) and then incline (x10,x8,x6,x4), Dumbell flyes 4 sets until failure, 4 sets of dips until failure, shoulder press (x10,x8,x6,x4) Upright row(x14,x12,x10,x8), front raises(x14), laterials(x14, and then 4 sets of dips until failure. Any tips will be well taken.
- Make sure you're eating enough so that your weight isn't going down. Don't bother with the dumbbell flys/upright rows/front raises/lateral raises as they will have no effect on your bench press, and as long as your bench press is going up then your mass in the chest/front shoulders/triceps will grow. Lower rep training will be more effective for gaining strength in the bench press, give 5x5 a try. Make sure you're attempting to increase the weight on your bench press every workout, and if you're stuck at the same weight then deload it and gradually build back up again to break through the plateau. Do pulling exercises as well as pushing exercises or your bench won't progress well and your shoulder health will be poor, make sure you're progressing on rows and chin-ups also.
- Q:which is better for putting on top of your (liquid) foundation.. loose powder or pressed powder?
- Pressed powder, makes it look more even. Because if you have liquid foundation on underneath, its bound to be a bit oily? And you don't want loose powder going everywhere making it look uneven and sticking to the oily areas.
- Q:So I have a barbell, and if I were to put my hands closer to the center of the bar, would it work my chest muscles more? Anything else about bench press is welcome.
- Close-grip = emphasis on triceps, and it's a great lift to use for building them. Wide-grip = emphasis on the shoulders. Normal grip = evened out emphasis. With a normal grip, you use the front delts heavily at the bottom of the press, the tris at the top, and the pecs mostly in-between. - Q:I heard from someone that bench-pressing works out the triceps (well, as well as many other muscles), but how much does it work them out? A bit? A lot? I'm asking this because I want to know whether or not I should do tricep workouts on top of bench pressing. I really hate working them out, but if bench pressing works them out by a significant amount then that would be all I need :)
- Bench pressing works out your triceps but not that much. You should still do separate workouts for your triceps. Everyone thinks the secret to big arms is big biceps but it's triceps. I spent more time in Iraq then I wanted to and 6 days out of each week there was spent in the gym during my down time so I know what I'm talking about.

- There are 'evil forces' who want to close down freedom of the press. A free press = a free people. You can see from the above two sites why America went down the road to freedom and why Britain [UK] lagged behind. But, as they say, we are slowly getting there and the last thing we need here in UK is any kind of restriction upon press freedom.
- Q:i think press wood is a rip off for the people that by's press wood furniture anyone agreas with me.
- Press wood as you call it might better known as particle board. It was invneted in the 50's due to a shortage of timber. in reality is well suited for aplications such as cabinets and vanities as well as furniture that is not moved much like a china hutch. It is actually a viable product and proably appears more often that you realize. not to mention it is cheap and easily made from the scraps of timber that would other wise be thrown away.
- Q:I saw press on nail polish and I was wondering how it actually stays on your nails.
- Press-on nail polish is more like stickers for your nails. You remove the backing and you stick them on your nails. You may want to cut them to suit your nail shape. It gives your nails an effect of wearing nail polish.You don't have to wait for it to dry like nail polish.
- Q:Explain the garlic press to me. Are you just supposed to squeeze juice from it, or does the press mince it up? And do you get the same results if you just finely chop a clove of garlic with a knife? My friend says a garlic press is a must-have for the kitchen but I've never owned one.
- It depends on what you are making and how fine you want the garlic to be. I have a press, but I hardly ever use it because I cut it up really fine and if I want to mince it, I simply press it with a spoon, so no it is not a must in the kitchen. I recently bought a garlic grinder which works much better, let's me decide how fine I want the garlic and its a whizz to clean, unlike the press which is a headache. I forgot, the press minces it.
- Q:my girlfriends ex-boyfriend rammed in to the side of my car with his car while me and my gf were in it, we called the cops and they came and took a report and later arrested him, now my gf and his mom are asking me not to press charges and that his mom wants to get him help (its a mess cause they have a kid together) what should I do? even if i don't press charges wont he still be tried and given a sentence? since he used his car as a weapon. how long will he get?
- What?! No! Press the charges. Of course his mom doesn't want you to, and your girlfriends doesn't want you to because he WAS her boyfriend at one point. I mean, if he hit you JUST right, he could of injured you or your girlfriend. He obviously doesn't care about neither of you to risk your safety like that. If you don't press charges, the whole thing will probably be dropped.
