- omg that happened to me. So i was kind of stuck but then i examined. The wire was pushed OUT going outwards towards your cheek, now do the oposite and it should pop back into place. It sounds complicated on here, get a mirror and do it. Im here to help
- Q:For some reason I just do not seem to understand this problem. Are brackets different than parenthesis? - Hi, I suggest if your orthodonist has given you some wax, to put it over the loose bracket. That way it ensures that it won't move around in your sleep. Loose brackets aren't usually dental emergencies but I would recommend calling your ortho. He will decide whether or not you should book another super quick appointment. He'll just glue it on again. Don't worry - these things happen all the time! Happened to mine all the time, really. Good luck.
- Q:for the fourth time my back bracket fell off and the wire is hanging out. It's not poking me or anything so it isn't an emergency. I am unable to go to my orthodontist 'till thursday. And I'm afraid if I fall or something the wire might stick into my cheek or gum or something. Is there anything I can do now to prevent that now?
- Well your bracket may be falling off for a number of reasons, like you eating stuff you shouldnt(crackers,gum,hard candy) but it may not be your fault either. They may be putting it up to far so when you bite down your teeth break the bracket off. Until you can get to the ortho, put wax on the wire, lots of it! Hope i helped! :)
- Q:i was eating celery and i heard a pop, and my wire is on top of my bracket on my back tooth. could this cause the bracket to loosen before i get to the orthodontist?

- Q:I would like to build a floating L-shaped banquette bench (no legs). It would be constructed out of a 2x4 frame and topped with 3/4 birch plywood. It would be 70 long on one side, 48' on the other and 18 deep (see attached pic). Would the brackets be enough to support the weight of people sitting on it? On a regular basis, it would only be 2 adults (~350 lbs), but I think the size could fit up to 5 adults (which could mean up to 900 lbs or so!). If this could work, any advice on the number/placement of brackets and any bracket features would be appreciated. I'm not completely opposed to having legs in the front, but I'd rather not because of finding the right legs and I think attaching legs at the bend could be a PITA.
- If you used five of those brackets, each rated at 1000lb working load, it would be more than capable of holding five adults. The issue would lie in what you are attaching the bench to. The wall needs to be strong enough to hold the bench. Those brackets will create a pivot point at the bottom and if the wall isn't sturdy enough or the wrong anchors are used, the bench could rip out of the wall when under load.
- Q:I got my braces on Monday and they haven't caused me any trouble up until now. I guess they put glue on each tooth where the brackets were suppose to go. So what happened was, I was just sitting here doing my homework and the bracket just popped up! I wasn't messing with it or anything. It's like, the bracket is still connected to the dried glue or whatever and is still intact put it's not on my tooth. Did I do anything wrong like brushing too hard? I just want to know what caused this. I'm going to the orthodontics first thing in the morning though.
- You are fine. It's normal to pop a bracket now and again. They will recement it for you at no additional charge and it won't have any long term negative impact on your treatment
