1,Cast Iron Manhole Cover Description :
A manhole cover is a removable plate forming the lid over the opening of a manhole, to prevent anyone or anything from falling in, and to keep out unauthorized persons and material.
Manhole covers are often made out of cast iron, concrete or a combination of the two. This makes them inexpensive, strong, and heavy, usually weighing more than 50 kilograms (110 lb). The weight helps to keep them in place when traffic passes over them, and makes it difficult for unauthorised people not having suitable tools to remove them.
A manhole cover sits on metal base, with a smaller inset rim which fits the cover. The base and cover are sometimes called "castings", because they are usually made by a casting process, typically sand-casting techniques.

Q. Can I fit a square manhole cover into a round chamber?
A. Yes, there are a select few manhole covers which are square-to-round, meaning they will fit square or round chambers.
Q. I have a heavy traffic manhole cover but it has been broken by a forklift, why?
A. Forklifts have solid wheels which apply pressure differently to standard pneumatics and therefore covers must be specially adapted to suit this.
Q. I’ve measured my clear opening size but none of your covers match it, can you offer anything?
A. It’s likely that your cover is quite old and in imperial measurements which are no longer manufactured. However, we can offer bespoke solutions with manhole covers made to the specification you require.
Q. The project I’m working on requires a manhole cover with a quality finish, what’s available?
A. Naturally, galvanised steel of black polypropylene aren’t always ideal, and so we offer brass or stainless steel edging, as well as complete stainless steel covers.
Q. Odours are coming through where I have installed my manhole cover, why?
A. Your cover must be sealed and locked, or neoprene sealed, so you would require a T-Range Cover, or if you require a solid top, a selection of the PC range (e.g. PC2BG3, PC6CG3, not PC2BG) are suitable.

A. Yes, the majority of covers have built-in lifting keys, and for those that don’t we also supply lifting keys. However, the best way to obtain easy access is to have a bespoke, hinged manhole cover.

- Speed metal tends to be similar, but faster. Speed metal also tends to be more melodic. Thrash is faster than traditional metal. Check out the second link, a site dedicated to metal. lists all the genres. SO many nowadays. I like the old days when there was heavy metal and, heavy metal.

- No. They're not black metal. They're alright. I like their aesthetic, especially. But there's several things that make a band black metal (beyond saying it), and Venom never were any of those things. The first is in the beats, and Venom played really down tempo, old school heavy metal beats. Even their fast songs would be considered slow for black metal. Secondly, their chord progressions are old school. They even use 12-bar blues progressions on certain songs… like Chuck Berry, or Elvis. Black metal doesn't do that. Thirdly, the vocals aren't black metal at all. And that may be the most important thing. There are black metal fans out there who call acoustic folk music black metal… just because it has black metal vocals. Black metal vocals are screamed, really-highed pitched harsh. Goblincore… Venom doesn't sound anything like that. Listen to Gorgoroth. Early Gorgoroth… with Pest as their singer. It's like nails on a chalkboard… which black metal fans, including myself, like. Granted, not all black metal vocals are that high-pitched, but they're always harsh. And if they're too low, they'll get labeled death metal shunned
- Q:What are some good heavy metal bands of the 2000's and present. Please give me a list.
- Yes ~ Metal will never die. Hair may fall out- but metal will last forever. I still listen to it (not as often or as loud)
- Q:Why do objects made of metal feel colder than objects made of wood?
- I think the truest metal should be 1) firmly rooted in the heavy metal tradition without any crossovers to other genres, 2) be as loud as obnoxious as it can be (metal isn't supposed to be very listenable), 3) fast, as it's always been that way (although metal got a lot faster over the decades) 4) intended as a means of expression rather than a means to make money (which doesn't mean that rich artists are untrue, it might also be because they are just really really good). I think that leaves us with death metal, black metal and thrash/speed metal. Before thrash there was already the new wave of British heavy metal, and black metal was influenced by a band like venom as well, for example, so I don't agree that thrash put metal on the map. Try to find a band you've never heard of, is faster than slayer, never compromised their style, has the harshest vocals you can imagine, has been together for at least 20 years, and only available on cassette tapes; then you're getting close to finding the truest metal!

- Definitely not a metalhead but I get why metalheads look down on nu-metal. In many respects it's completely at odds with the ethos of metal. I'm sure Linkin Park's guitarist is a skilled player but the parts he's playing in that band could be played by Taylor Swift in her sleep. I joke that they were originally created as a boy band like N'sync but their sound guy was deaf and turned the guitars up too loud. It's not far from the truth. Most of their hits are cliché pop songs with loud guitar. Most nu-metal suffers this problem. But it sells megabucks to angsty teenagers. Smart.
