1,Cast Iron Manhole Cover Description :

manhole cover is a removable plate forming the lid over the opening of a manhole, to prevent anyone or anything from falling in, and to keep out unauthorized persons and material.

Manhole covers are often made out of cast iron, concrete or a combination of the two. This makes them inexpensive, strong, and heavy, usually weighing more than 50 kilograms (110 lb). The weight helps to keep them in place when traffic passes over them, and makes it difficult for unauthorised people not having suitable tools to remove them.

A manhole cover sits on metal base, with a smaller inset rim which fits the cover. The base and cover are sometimes called "castings", because they are usually made by a casting process, typically sand-casting techniques.

We have organized several common questions for our clientsmay help you sincerely

Q. Can I fit a square manhole cover into a round chamber?

A. Yes, there are a select few manhole covers which are square-to-round, meaning they will fit square or round chambers.

Q. I have a heavy traffic manhole cover but it has been broken by a forklift, why?

A. Forklifts have solid wheels which apply pressure differently to standard pneumatics and therefore covers must be specially adapted to suit this.

Q. I’ve measured my clear opening size but none of your covers match it, can you offer anything?

A. It’s likely that your cover is quite old and in imperial measurements which are no longer manufactured. However, we can offer bespoke solutions with manhole covers made to the specification you require.

Q. The project I’m working on requires a manhole cover with a quality finish, what’s available?

A. Naturally, galvanised steel of black polypropylene aren’t always ideal, and so we offer brass or stainless steel edging, as well as complete stainless steel covers.

Q. Odours are coming through where I have installed my manhole cover, why?

A. Your cover must be sealed and locked, or neoprene sealed, so you would require a T-Range Cover, or if you require a solid top, a selection of the PC range (e.g. PC2BG3, PC6CG3, not PC2BG) are suitable.

Q. I need access through my manhole cover on a regular basis, is this possible?

A. Yes, the majority of covers have built-in lifting keys, and for those that don’t we also supply lifting keys. However, the best way to obtain easy access is to have a bespoke, hinged manhole cover.

Q:how could a new metal band not be a nu-metal band?
Atmospheric Hardcore: Neurosis Black Metal: Bathory Death Metal: Death Crossover: Stormtroopers of Death Doom Metal: Reverend Bizarre Doomdeath: My Dying Bride Folk Metal: Skyclad Goth: Type O Negative Grindcore: Napalm Death Grunge: Alice In Chains Industrial: Fear Factory Melodic Death Metal: In Flames Metalcore: Avenged Sevenfold Nu-Metal: Korn NWOBHM (New Wave of British Heavy Metal): Iron Maiden Power Metal: Helloween Progressive Metal: Dream Theater Sludge Metal: Crowbar Stoner/Stoner Doom Metal: Sleep Thrash Metal: Megadeth Viking Metal: Amon Amarth But genres aren't really that important...
Q:metal gear solid 4 any good???
Yes I do. And I think it's pretty dumb to call power metal 'cheesy' when, like it or not, metal itself is in general can be pretty cheesy. If power metal lyrics can be generalized as wizards and fantasy, black metal lyrics can also be called 'virgin sacrifices and burning churches', death metal lyrics as 'torture, rape and necrophilia'. Obviously these aren't always true but neither is 'wizards and fantasy'. Same generalizations can be made for the music. That being said, I probably do prefer death and black over power. But the plain truth is, no genre that has been around for more than 10 years and escaped the phenomena of 'chessiness'. As for the extreme part, how will there be any diversity in metal when every genre is aimed at being extreme? BA: I'm really too tired to think properly at the moment but anyways... Hibria - The Skull Collectors Stormwarrior -Heading Northe Helloween - Gambling With The Devil Brimstone - Carving A Crimson Career Ballistic - Selftitled
Q:which elements would most likely react with group 2a metals?
Most likely the sheet metal from Home Despot is galvanized steel. Not much for interesting patinas there, either a whitish powdery finish or a rust color, depending on how much zinc is on the surface of the steel. The best metals for patinas are copper based alloys. Brass is probably the worst, with bronze being the almost best. Copper would be the ultimate best. There may be some copper sheet at HD, or other hardware stores. You might try some roofing supply outfits, sometimes copper sheet is used as flashing on finer homes or historical restorations. As far as what chemical(s) to use, the application, and preservation of the finished patina is a whole 'nuther question. Finding the metal is the first step. Good luck
Q:Why are coins made of transition metals?
Goth Metal Sirenia and Emilie Autumn and HIM
Q:Is this black metal???
The Showdown Misery Signals (hardcore) Haste the Day (hardcore)
Q:Any non satanic metal bands?
What grade are you in i just had a question like this on my test like a week ago of course,i got it wrong but yeah uhmm idr
Q:Metals???!?!?!?!?! 10 points!!!!!! best!!!?
metal is no music
Thats a tough question for me.....I like a lot of bands from America (Throwdown, Pantera, Hatebreed, LOG, etc) but I love a lot of bands from other places in the world (Soilwork, The Haunted, etc).......personally, I think both have really produced great metal bands....but for the sake of the number of bands I listen to that have come from America over the years compared to elsewhere, I will have to go with American Metal....although I do greatly agree with you on European Melodic Death Metal bands.... edit: After reading some of the other answers, I want to clarify that I am not just talking about metal today, but throughout the years...
Q:properties of metals and non-metals?
Ayreon Old Man's Child Carpathian Forest Symphony X Septic Flesh Chthonic Draconian Epica Eternal Tears of Sorrow Ensiferum Graveworm Therion
Q:New to heavy metal need Help?
What is the formula of the metal oxide. MO? M2O? MO2? You need to know in order to solve the problem. I will show you how to solve it, assuming it is MO (if it is not, you will need to account for that). If we pick an arbitrary number, like 100g, 67.2 g is metal and 32.8 g is oxygen. Since the atomic weight of oxygen is 16.0 g, 32.8 g O / 16.0 g/mol = 2.05 moles of oxygen. This is the part where the stoichiometry is important. Depending on the formula, this would determine the number of moles of metal. MO gives you 2.05 moles M (1:1 M:O), M2O gives you 4.10 (2:1 M:O), MO2 gives you 1.025 (1:2 M:O), etc. 67.2 g M / # moles M = MW of M Then use the atomic mass values on the periodic table to figure out what metal it is. Good luck.
