Q:Which metal has higher specific heat???
I wasn't aware that there was such a thing as black or power metal. Is this civil rights thing that I'm unaware of?
Q:Metal Gear??? Otocon & Rex?
Extracting a metal from a metal oxide IS reduction. Why? When it's part of an oxide, the metal has a charge (a metal oxide is an ionic compound). For instance, in MgO, Mg has a +2 charge and O has a -2 charge. In Al2O3, Al has a +3 charge and O is again -2. When the metal is extracted, it has NO charge. So if you extract Mg from MgO, Mg goes from a +2 charge to a 0 charge by gaining electrons ... that's reduction. At the same time, oxygen goes from a -2 to a 0 (the element O2 is formed) by giving up 2 electrons ... that's oxidation. In removing Al from Al2O3, Al goes from a +3 charge to a 0 charge. Again, that's reduction. Oxygen is again oxidized.
Q:What are the 10 best bands of Technical Death Metal?
Compounds can't be categorised as metals or non metal. its only elements you can classify metallic or non metallic. Nitrate is an anion.i.e. ion having negative charge.
Q:Is Linkin Park labeled as a Nu Metal band?
Metal have delocalized valance electrons. With other atoms we look at the s and p orbitals mostly but with metals we also take into consideration the d block electrons in metals these can be bonding electrons to form complex ions When thinking about conductivity and metals picture the atoms in a organized crystal structure with the electrons moving freely between the lattice work, This sea of electrons that are delocalized make it easy for metals to conduct both heat and electricity.
Q:Metal or not???
My favorite type of metal is straight-up no frills heavy metal like Manilla Road, Overlorde, Ironsword, or Twisted Tower Dire. I also like black metal (especially the atmospheric/ambient kind) and doom metal when I'm more 'relaxed' and I like death metal when I'm feeling energetic. I usually listen to death metal before a race or when I'm lifting weights. Basically, I like them all for different reasons.
Q:Whats your favourite sub-genre of metal?
Black metal - Mother North ~ Satyircon Speed metal - Exciter ~ Judas Priest Hair metal - ? wtf? i call Dimmu Borgir symphonic hair metal because thats all they are, hair and makeup other than that i didnt think it was a real sub-genre Doom Metal - DoomSword - Onward into Battle HeavyMetal - Master Of Puppets ~ Metallica Industrial Metal - Nine Inch Nails ~ Closer Coldwave Metal - who knows.. Grindcore - Waking the Cadaver ~ Chased Through The Woods By A Rapist Hardcore - Parkway drive ~ Hopeless Death Metal - Deicide ~ **** Your God Power Metal - King Diamond ~ Abigail Nu Metal ( ahhh yes the kids that sit on the bus with their ipods on SO loud that you can hear ooooh-wa-ah-ah-ah over whatever decent music is playing out of your own ipod .. nu metal kids.. -shudder- Disturbed ~ Down With The Sickness Everyone has a different oppinion on what bands go into what sub-genres its all ridiculas.. those examples will give you a fair idea of the genres
Q:What are three metals, three semi-metals and three non metals?
Heavy metal!
Q:Metal genres? ?
All cheaper, non-precious metals are called 'base metal'. That includes copper, brass, bronze, pewter, iron, tin, zinc and so on. Precious metal are gold, silver, platinum, palladium, rhodium and a few others. Metals are 'precious' because they are rare (expensive), beautiful etc. A lot of base metal is very beautiful on it's own (I love solid copper and brass/bronze jewelry), but most commercially available base metal jewelry is plated (with gold or rhodium/silver) to look like precious metal. That's where the problems start. The plating wears off after a short while and the base metal starts being visible. If it is pinkish, it is copper. So, as far as I am concerned, you are fine if you buy solid base metal. That way, the base metal is polished and sealed (check out the link below for some shiny copper earrings) and you can clean it to a bright color. It's the plated metal, I would stay away from, especially for a ring.
Q:METAL SURVEYYYYY!!!!!!!!(cool, all metal fans)?
They all have different styles to how and what they play. For example death metal speaks about death and destruction in growled vocals while power metal talked about dungeons and dragons in clean vocals.
Q:Engineering Catogeries for metals?
I have read that zinc and lead are toxic to parakeets, but nickel is supposed to be safe. From what i understand, of all the toys at the pet shop, all the little bells are made of nickel. I have only had my birds for about 5 months, but they have brass, nickel and stainless in their cage and i have had no problems thus far.
