- There are options for refinishing chairs. You can strip down the wood and restain and finish it yourself. You can enlist the help of a professional, or do a Google search for DIY. I, personally, love an eclectic look. But, the chair actually clashes just a bit with the rest of the color scheme. Refinishing it would probably be a good idea.
- Q:A friend of mine has a chair we are trying to find some information on. Maybe someone on here knows what period it came from? Sorry, I don't have a picture, but maybe I can describe it well enough. The back is short...on an average height person the highest part of the back would come to your lower neck. It has, oddly, cherubs with what look like breasts on either side of the back...their faces are full front but their bodies are side views. it has lots of scroll leaf type carvings, and the seat is also carved. It's a solid dark wood. The most puzzling part is the legs...there are only two. one in front and one in back that are really just flat pieces of wood that go across from one side to the other, with a curved piece cut out at the bottom. Does anyone know anything about a chair like this?? I would be most grateful for some info! Thanks! :)
- sounds neat but i cant tell ya unfortunatly, ive actually never even heard of a chair with legs like that, id be willing to bet its older thne you might be thinking though, seems like the more simple the construction of a chair the older it is.
- Q:I need to set up 'standard' chairs in various size circles. If I need only a few chairs (say less than 12), the circle is fairly easy to set up. But as the number increases beyond 20, to 30, 40, or more, the circle becomes increasingly less circular--that is, flat spots show up. For each person to be able to see every other person, flat spots are not good.

- There are lots to choose from online: specifically made for youth, for orthopedic issues. I would ask the spine doctor you see, if you do, or go to your local pharmacy. They have catalogs and chairs on-site for you to try out and price. I put Orthopedic chair in Google and got lots of hits. I know it's best to buy it from a local store, but if there is a guarantee return policy, you'll be able to return it if it's not the right chair for him. My Mom had a similar problem, and I was shocked by how few businesses in the health care business, knew anything about chairs--even chiropractors and physical therapists? good luck.

- Well, they need washing too, like your pants. Problem is you can't throw them into the washer. It's a damp sponge, soapy water, immediately blot, repeat, repeat, repeat and leave for the weekend. Come back Monday and spray with Febreeze. Don't forget to wash the rest of the chair, any arm rests, they get sweaty too.
