- Take him to a wildlife reserve! He has a chance of life! Or a 24 hour emergency vets office would be good. You could call a vet to come to your house. It might be a little pricey, but the animal would thank you for it. If he is suffering too badly, a vet will make the decision to euthanize him. If you have any children at your house, do not allow them to see it. It does not make a child happy to see a bird in that condition. I would call your local vets office now.

- No dude, youre confusing two different species. Daddy long legs- or Harvestmen, as they're known in the UK- are the ones with powerful venom, but fangs too short to bite a human being. Crane flies, which look kind of like a flying daddy long legs, are a species that feed one nectar only. They are not carnivorous, and they don't have fangs, or a stinger, or any other means to defend themselves. The females have a tool on their abdomens for depositing eggs. It looks kind of like a stinger, but it is not one, and can do no harm at all.Daddy long legs-spiders can not fly. Crane flies don't even live long enough to eat. Most of the species of crane flies live long enough to mate, and nothing more. Theres is no reason to fear either species. Oh, and they don't eat mosquitos. That's a myth.

- Okay Well, You havent specified in what, but presuming you mean in the comics, and baring in mind he was the psychologist when Thomas Elliot and Bruce were only 7-8, then the bare minimum he could have been then was 21, though he was likely older. THEN presuming Bruce is around 35, though he also is probably older, then the bare minimum Crane could be is 48. that being said, he is likely between 48-60. He just looks good for his age ;). this of course is in the comics, however. The movie is different.

Anyway, sorry I don't have an answer but the other day just for kicks I was looking around to see what's going on and searching crane operator+job and there's a huge worldwide company, slips my mind but they kept coming up all over hiring operators all over the world. Give that a try, if I was single I'd be going everywhere, and getting PAID to do it but my wife and kids mean too much to be away. - Q:I've heard that daddy longlegs aka crane flies contain the most deadly venom of all insects. The only reason they aren't dangerous or deadly is because they have no mouth or 'straw' to inject the venom. But I'm not sure what's correct. Although they cannot harm us humans, is it possible for them to be able to inject the venom into other creatures?Also, I've heard that dragonflies contain deadly venom too, but just like with the crane flies, they cannot transfer the venom any way. - I can't think of older terms at the moment, but definitely 'fireplace crane' sounds modern, and possibly American, to me. In Britain I have never heard the term, not in any historical or modern setting. My idea of a crane is a big item at a dockside or on a big building site. A domestic hearth or kitchen is too nice a place to have a 'crane'!
