In order to meet that specification, and because the yard tends to be flat or uphill, I need to basically drain directly where the pipe comes out of my house. You are installing what is basically called a dry well. Make it a couple of feet deep and it should be fine.

Most places use a back hoe, or excavator. If its really frozen they have to wait.

Call an excavator or a landscaper. Either will have the Bobcat needed, plus they will be able to call and have sand delivered. If you know of a concrete contractor that isn't terribly busy, they could do it as well. Hope this helps.
