Q:How to weave beautiful handmade carpet with a small cloth
In addition to it, the old cover side of quilt, old pants can be weaved, these are very useful ah, if there are old clothes at your home, please begin! there are too much old wool, just want to know what method can be used to take advantage of these? Through a lot of people's experience and continuous efforts, finally come up with a very simple method that use old wool series mats to make beautiful cushion. It is a good use of waste, whether are there any old sweaters at your home? If so, you can also use this method to make good use of them. Before teaching how to weave mat using old knitting wool, please pay attention to: When weaving ponytail, it had better not be too tight, otherwise it will be like a bamboo hat when sewn up. First step: First use four pieces of wood to make a weave frame, drive twenty-two nails on each of them, you can make the size according to their own requirements the second step: The first line, guying uses you loved wool repeatedly, make the number of strands according to the thickness of the wool, usually with fourteen strands. Third steps: The color of the second layer is the same with the first one the fourth step: The practice of the third layer is the same with the first layer one, you can use other lines, because this layer line is in the downmost, it can not be seen, color doesn't matter the fifth steps: The fourth layer is the same with the third one the sixth steps: Twining it on a sweater needle or other wire or stick the seventh step: Binding lines from the diagonal line the eighth steps: The stitch of the line enters from the former hole, and then comes out from the latter hole to tie it, the other is the same the ninth step: Binding for the first time the tenth step fix line denounced anti ship money to raise irrigation Li shi: The second times starts the Eleventh step: Tied up and then cut off the edges, then it is completed
Q:whats the best way to wash a rug?
You can wash the rugs in your washing machine. Regular detergent, fabric softener optional. (I never use it for rugs.) If you're worried about the rubber backing, use the Cold water option, and let them air dry. However...here's the caveat: If you wash the rugs and allow them to air dry, they won't look fluffy. They'll look a little matted. You can fluff them a little with a clean hair brush after they've dried or run them through the dryer on Fluff, but to make the rugs look really fluffy and pretty, you'll need to dry them in your dryer. If you dry the rugs in your dryer, the rubber backing will break down. It's a Catch-22. So your choices: 1. Wash them in Cold water and let them air dry. Then fluff them with a hair brush...or run them on the no heat option. This will preserve the rubber backing, but the rugs won't be as fluffy as they looked new. - or - 2. Wash them and dry them in the dryer. This will make the rugs beautifully fluffy, but the backing will come off in pieces. Good luck. -
Q:Candle wax out of carpet?
when you get wax on clothing, it comes out by putting it in the freezer, then the wax just chips off, try putting ice in a bag and placing it on top of the carpet, do this for a few days, making sure the ice is always really cold, the wax should eventually chip off! I hope this helps!! :)
Q:Can wool carpet be washed?
No, if it is pure wool, it would be best for dry cleaning, but if you don't care, you can buy wool fabric detergent
Q:How much is the averrage price for 13 feet x 13 feet interior carpet?
Just a standard carpet will average around $3,50 a s/f installed. Of course you can do higher or lower, it all depends on the over all quality of the carpet. Most carpet comes in 12 and 15' wide rolls so you ll need extra to seam it together. So you can t go just by the 13x13 ( 169 s/f) of the room size. In 12 foot widths you ll need a pc 12x15 or 180 s/f or a pc 15x13 ( 195 s/f) to fit the room. The are some patterned carpet that come 13'6. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
Q:Alternatives to carpet?
Throw out the old carpet, scrub the concrete floor, paint the floor with a paint formulated for concrete. Pick a happy color. Then look for some inexpensive area rugs, try thrift stores.
Q:How do I get rid of these hand made Moroccan rugs?
You're not going to get much, considering that OKorder is loaded with Persian carpets. I would put them in storage, but first call a rug dealer to see what you must do first, in order to store them. (Probably cleaning and moth-proofing) They may even take them on consignment. If I were you, I would hang on to them. I have purchased a lot of persian wool, handmade rugs, and they are so beautiful, and look so classy.
Q:Carpet Cleaning Information Please?
It is just dirt and dust. You can probably go over it 10 times and still get dirty water. The dirt becomes crushed down into the fibers and to the pad. The best you can do is to shampoo once, and rinse twice.
Q:Using a Rug Doctor cleaner on Cat Litter?
I don't think the carpet cleaner will make it worse, but the urine may have soaked into the padding subfloor. Could you get a covered litter box. Our cat also had the same prob I replaced the tray with a covered box there is no longer the 'missing the box' prob the litter around the box is only from tracking, not kicking. If you think kitty cannot or will not use a new box, then you could invest in a high-quality doormat type little rug--like the ones people put in front of the exterior doors for wiping their feet. These rugs have water-proof backing so the urine will not soak through. Then all you have to do is rinse it off with the hose outside or wash on 'gentle' in the washing machine line dry. The backing will eventually crumble by washing it in the machine, that's why I suggest hosing it off outside. But you could also use Rug Doc to clean it periodically or invest (or ask for X-mas or your b-day) for a carpet cleaner or Spot Bot. Anything else will just get soaked through still get to the carpet. You could always put a tarp under the litter box. Sorry about the long post. I have 8 cats have been dealing with cat problems for the last 7 years. I found what works best for me I like to share the info.
Q:Is it ever feasable to put down carpeting without padding?
A carpet crease is caused by folding carpet and leaving it folded for a period of time. This may be corrected by stretching over a wood surface, such as plywood, nailing the edges. Shampooing will then help, as it dries. Stretching during installation also helps. As to installing without padding, it can be done, but it will not be a totally satisfactory installation. The tack strip along the wall is approximately 1/4 in thickness and when the carpet is attached to the strip, it acts as though the carpet is suspended across the floor. This is not totally accurate because one is standing on the carpet, preventing suspension. The result is that as it is walked upon, the carpet tends to sag at the tack strip and will become loose. Bear in mind, on installation, that if used carpet has to be cut and seamed onto cuts from another piece, or if one side of the carpet is seamed to another side, there may be a color difference. Think of a side at any wall, which gets no traffic or wear, then seaming that side to any other that may have a traffic pattern or is worn. This can be worked out to the best possible layout by an experienced installer but it does need to be considered. I doubt that 30 yr. old pad is worth using. I know of what material most of that padding was made. In most cases padding today is better quality. You will find that installation labor is higher on used carpet. Don't use cheapest labor. It will show up.
