Q:We usually wait 4 - 5 minutes for hot water in our master bath. I've been looking into ricirculation pump systems. This would have to be a retro-fit system since some of the lines run through concrete slab making adding a return loop on the line non-feasible. I have found some people comment on simply using a by-pass valve system without a pump (ie. Hot Water Lobster). We do have hard water which I've also read that can present a problem with pumps dieing quite quickly. While I'd like it, I don't need 1 second hot water, but I can't stand wasting gallons waiting for 4-5 minutes. A reasonable 15-30 second wait would be a huge improvement. Has anyone had reasonable success with the bypass valve without the pump or should I plan on getting the pump too? Thanks in advance!
Without a basement, you're only moving water from the first to second floor? I'm guessing it's a large home and the baths are somewhat remote from the water heater. You should consider the pump, but perhaps a second water heater. Do you have a closet you could put a small electric unit in? I don't think that a 4-5 gallon under counter unit will do it. Good luck.
Q:I'm looking for a high pressure water pump ,preferably submersible, between 80-100 psi.
go you five and six show room only prospects of high pressure of toll pump or submersible menu check if you like buy no like no buy
Q:We lost power during the hurricane, we have well water. the power went out and we lost water also, what are the procedures to bleed and restart a goulds pumps c48a93a06 water pump?
1. you are going to need at least a couple gallons of water in a bucket to re-prime. 2. look for a plug at the top of the pump and remove it. 3. pour water into the plug opening, filling up the pump as much as you can. 4. put plug back in so at least one thread is grabbing. by doing this it will allow air to escape and won't be spraying water everywhere. it is also a good idea to keep your hand on the plug. 5. turn on electricity to pump. 6. when you start to notice pressure re-gaining tighten up the plug so it does not drip. It is also a good idea to have an outside tap on to get air out of the lines. Another thing is, it is a good idea to shut off water to toilets and washing machines before re-starting pump because small debris have a habit of clogging them up. When your pressure is back, drain your toilet and cold water line to your washing machine, flushing all the stuff out until you see nice clear water. Hope I helped and good luck.
Q:I have to replace the hot water recirculating pump in my house. It is made in Hungary and the Manufacturer's letters look almost Russian. The only words in English are the spec's (amp draw, voltage, etc.) This house was built in 1998 and the plumber's no longer in business. It looks like it just threads onto a quot;capbut I don't want to start using pipe wrenches and just mangle it (it's very difficult to get to also). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike
particular you are able to. in certainty there's a recirculating equipment called a Polaris water heater which could furnish warm water for all your place carry desires and warmth your place too. the cost of operationg a Polaris equipment is extra cost-effective than an on call for warm water heater.
Q:The pump works and water goes to the house from the reserve tanks but there can be long delays before it cuts in after mains pressure is lost. After it stops the pressure gauge falls back slowly to zero. Pressure vessel is a sphere has a valve on top. Any suggestions ?

Q:ok so im wondering if there is a water pump out there i can buy that automatically turns on when i turn the tap on. i looking for something thats strong enough to pump enough water to more than one taps at a time i.e kitchen tap, bathroom etc.

Q:I have a Miniworks EX Water filter with a ceramic filtering element. It has been used a few times without problem, but I am wondering at what point should I replace my ceramic filter? The replacements are $40 and I can't find any information regarding replacement times--only cleaning information. Does this filter need to be replaced often?I've always pumped from a clear river way up in the mountains and the flow is decent.
Could be months yet if you use good water. A filter is good for at least a thousand liters if you're careful with it. So long as the flow is good keep going. Mine is two years old, no problems. I put sterilizer through it every so often. Simple stuff, just buy Camden tablets or powder from a home wine making store or a pharmacist. Make up the solution, pump it through the filter and leave it for an hour then put tap water through it if you want. The Camden tablets are used to stop fermentation in wines and beers and to sterilize the bottles before filling. It isn't rinsed out. Just fill the bottles with the solution, empty them and fill them them with wine or beer. You drink it...it breaks down to harmless sodium sulfate and releases sulfa dioxide which does the sterilizing. Otherwise you can use ordinary household bleach if it's pure bleach with no perfumes or other bits added. A few drops in a pint of water and put it through the unit just as though you are using it normally. Leave it for an hour then run tap water through it. You can use that pure bleach for sterilizing drinking water too but it's best for hot drinks, juice concentrates, and for cooking to mask the chlorine taste. Two drops per liter of water is enough, and leave it for an hour before using. I've used both methods for over forty years of wild camping on five continents, a long malaria field survey in Malaysia, in deserts and forests and on mountains. Never a problem. We used both methods in the Army too for 500 gallon water trucks with barium sulfate filters. Good for 10 000 gallons before changing the barium sulfate. I was the medic doing lab tests on it. Have a good hike.
Q:HiThe well in my house is around 60 feet(20 meter). And the tank is 10 meter above the ground. My pump is Kirloskar Jet 1.5HP . It use to fill 500 Liter tank in 20 minutes. But now a days it is taking around 45 minutes to fill in. The pump is around 10years old. But it sounds good. Is it a problem with Pump or something else like Foot valve, Pipe, Pressure adjustment etc? . Do I need to change the pump? Which one is best suit for my well?. Submersible or Jet or something else?
It's possible that your pipes are closing in and it's possible that the screen in your well is clogging up or the inpeller is going bad. Do you have a holdin tank above ground? and is it an aerator as well ? You may even have cloogged diverters or sprayers
Q:okay i just put a new camshaft in my truck and before my water pump seemed to work but it leaked a little bit but my truck never got hot well i drove it a little bit after puting in the new camshaft and the top radiator hose and heater hose was warm but the bottom radiator hose was cold so i think my water pump went out but not to sure thanks to any answers
when your water pump goes out, either it will leak from the weep holes which are the holes drilled in the pump by the manufacturer or around the pulley. If that is happening then its your pump. The other thing to check would be your thermostat, check this by turning your truck on and leaving the lid of the radiator. check the temperature of the water in the radiator with your finger if it warms up in ten minutes then its not your thermostat, if the water level goes down ( like lack of water) then its the pump.
Q:Is it a good idea to turn my pond water pump off at night and back on during the day to lower my electricity bill?
we only turned our pond pump on when we were outside to enjoy the pond...that way if our pump got knocked over we were there to keep the water from being pumped out of the pond...which did actually happen due to wind alot..lol...my goldfish in the pond...have lived thru two winters and a summer just this way...they dont need the pump to survive the wind keeps enough oxygen in the pond with ripples that its fine...as for the mosquito's...they form in any standing water..they form in normal ground ponds..they will form in your pond whether you have the pump running or not...we have had our pond 8 years now..and the first year we ran it all the time...we still had mosquito's and that was the only water source around...frogs started coming to the pond after we turned the pond off..which was actually cool..part of the summer we had tadpoles and the fish of course ate some of them...
