- Yes you might want to try washing the bed. Your new kitten is probably hissing because she smells your old kitten on the bed. But then again, if your old kitten had an infection and was lying in that bed, it might not be safe for your new kitten to sleep in! I would advise buying a new bed altogether but if not, definitely wash the old one first.

- The force is F = dP/dt + W = mV/dt + W; where m = W/g = 100/32.2 = ? slugs is someone's mass and V = sqrt(2gH) = sqrt(2*32.2*2) = ? fps is someone's impact velocity (speed). The only thing we don't have is dt = ? the impact interval. How long does it take to go from V to zero when hitting the bed covers? That is bed dependent isn't it? If the mattress is hard, then dt will be short. If it's way soft, then dT dt will be longer. Anyway, we can see that F = W because V = 0 when just lying on the bed. That means the obvious, there is only someone's weight as the force transferred to the bed when not jumping on it. But the force increases by the mV/dt = m sqrt(2gH)/dt term due to impact. We can also see the impact force increases with the sqrt of the height of he jump and with the shorter impact intervals. As you probably don't know what dt is, put in several reasonable guesses (e.g., dt = .5, 1.0, 1.5 sec) and see what the results are. This is called sensitivity analysis. It's a technique used often when exact values are not known.

- You don*t need a box spring but it will be a more comfortable bed with it. If it is too high why not just put a bed skirt around the bed; Even something simple like a king sized sheet between the mattress and box spring will fill in the height dept. for you. to cover the height.or put the sheet right on top of the mattress and let it hang to the floor.

- well i would think a toddler bed is shorter and has like side wally rail type things, and the other one would be a normal bed with a side rail and then they would hav a single bed with no rails helpfull?

- The 2nd one. I had a bed like the 1st one, and my cat didn't like it, because the bed was too open, yet he couldn't see anything around him. The second bed would be much better for him, since he feels safe in it because of the roof. Although, I should tell you, not a lot of cats like to sleep in beds, so you might find him sleeping somehwere else instead. ;)
- Q:Can I use both box spring and mattress on a platform bed?
- You can if you want to but there is no need. A box spring is just a box these days and it's just something for the mattress to sit on. The same function as the platform bed. The box is redundant.
- Q:What size does the 1 meter mattress mean?
- 1 meters generally refers to the width, according to the length of different brands in 1.8m or 2m, 2m mostly, mattress thickness depends on the brand, and how many are there.
