- Q:I had a kitten and bought her toys and a cave bed and she got an infection and died, i just got a new kitten and i washed the old toys but didnt do anything with the bed, when i put the new kitten in the bed she hisses, is that normal? Should i wash the bed first?
- Yes you might want to try washing the bed. Your new kitten is probably hissing because she smells your old kitten on the bed. But then again, if your old kitten had an infection and was lying in that bed, it might not be safe for your new kitten to sleep in! I would advise buying a new bed altogether but if not, definitely wash the old one first.

- Q:no i don't have bed bugs..but how do you prevent them?? what causes them?
- I would like to know if these bed bug critters will use your dog as a host ? I am getting bites that look like bed bug bites but they are always in the same area where the dog cuttles next to me. She gets a monthly flea treatment , but when the lights go out she starts digging. I cant find anything in or around the bed or mattresses. Nothing on her eighter. Any thoughts ? I have treated for bed bugs to no avail.

- Bed bugs can come in many colours as when they are not feeding they appear lighter in colour, after they feed they become reddish brown colour from the blood they have been sucking. The best thing to do is thoroughly search your bed area and inspect it for reddish brownish marks bed bugs are known to leave. At this point you would want to completely get rid of those items and start treating your environment.
