- The ones at the mall you have to be 18 for. Chiropractors are medical providers. Before they will do anything to you, you must have a consultation visit and xrays so that they can find out what they are treating in or on your body. Chiropractic is considered medical treatment, not just a fun massage.
- Q:The nitrogen gas in present in the chair cylinder. However what keep chair at mid position, between highest and lowest position? Is there a valve that prevents chair from coming up any further from mid position. Also if it at the lowest point that then gas is fully compressed. what prevents it from pushing upward as I'm seating. Thanks in advance
- The way a gas spring chair works is that the piston inside the cylinder contains a valve, which lets nitrogen gas pass from one side of the cylinder to the other (see the link below for a diagram). The compression is created because of the volume of the piston rod being introduced into the cylinder, but at all times the pressure on either side of the piston is the same. The lever on the underside of the seat opens the valve in the piston. If you sit on the chair but don't pull the lever, the gas in the piston cannot flow through the valve, so piston remains extended. When you pull that lever, the valve opens and allows gas to flow across the piston, so the piston is able to move down and the gas is compressed. When the chair is at half-height and the lever is released, the valve closes, preventing the piston from moving either way, because the pressures are equal on either side (the pressure in the cylinder is so great that the extra pressure added by sitting on the chair is tiny by comparison). When the chair is at its lowest, the compressed gas is all above the piston, holding it down. It's only when the valve is opened that gas can flow to the other side to raise it.
- Q:My son recently participated in a regional honor band. The band consisted of 28 trumpets. They had to audition for placement. Placement ranged from 1st trumpet/1st to 7th chair, 2nd trumpet/1st to 7th chair, 3rd trumpet/1st to 7th chair and 4th trumpet/1st to 7th chair. Can anyone explain to me where he stood ability-wise within the group of 28? He was 1st trumpet/7th chair. Thank you.
- 1st trumpets are usually the ones who play the higher notes, so more skilled. So he ranks pretty high :)
- Q:I am wanting to be a kindergarten teacher or elementary teacher soon and I have rocking chair at home. Sometimes I feel that the chair is not too comfortable without a cushion. I want to ask kindergarten teachers who have added on a seat cushion to their chair for some advice. What chair do you have an added a cushion on? How long does the cushion usually last? Would you recommend getting a cushion that is filled with polyester and/or cotton or one that has foam in it? Is it important to pick a certain color/pattern for the cushion? Does the cushion get flat or dirty easily? Will the added on cushion cause problems such as arguments or fights between students? I am assuming that the school will also provide a couple of chairs for the teacher. Some chairs that do have a cushion will not be a good one. Do you also have a chair in the classroom that you added a cushion on top of the cushion that already came with the chair?
- If youre working with younger grades, I think a cushion is def a must have on a rocking chair. I like to read and work with the kids on the floor instead of lecturing them from their desks. I find that I am on my rocking chair a lot and you def want to be comfortable so get that cushion! If you have a pattern in your room and you find a cushion to match great! If not, Id just go for a dark color so it doesnt get too dirty. If youre worried about kids fighting over sitting on the chair or not, dont let them sit there, unless you have a student of the day or something like thst.

- maybe try a regular high chair that you can sit him in and strap him in with his food right there at his level, sometimes booster seats are awkward for little ones.

- I am not permanently in a chair, but was for a while due to an injury. I was stuck with the hard wheeled variety.. I felt every bump, and the terrain had to be quite smooth to facilitate independent travel. People having chairs with pneumatic tires are less likely to be affected by road hazards. You see people buzzing around in parking lots and on roadsides all the time with motorized wheelchairs and scooters. That said, bad roads would make it challenging to get around, they can handle a certain level of ill-maintained roads, but they have their limits. When your tires are only 6 inches in diameter, an 8 inch pothole causes trouble. Try to think about this from their point of view - noticing the size of curbs vs clearance of the chair, etc.
- Q:We have 4 kitchen, cantilever chairs that are getting weak (drooping when people sit in them) we want to figure out a way that we can keep them longer as they are no longer available, from the company, to be replaced.Personally, I would just like some new chairs but my husband really wants to save these. Is there really a way to do it without compromising the style of the chair?
- Tell hubby that you are afraid someone is going to either sit on a chair and fall out or it will break when they sit in it and they will sue you for not changing the chairs when you noticed that they were beyond their useful life. If you don't mind being sued then perhaps you might at least be concerned about not harming visitors. With respect to repairing them it is a little difficult to tell at a distance as I don't know what you like about them. I could tell you to cut off the bases and put legs on them but this does not immediately sound like it would be acceptable.

- I don't think you really need a high chair until she is starting solids which is not for at least another couple of months. However, there are booster type high chairs that strap to a chair and have a tray and everything just like a high chair. They're less expensive, take up less space, and are very portable. Some brands are designed for newborns and recline for that reason. I found mine at toys r us. The brand is Graco, I believe.
