- Q:how do you take the bearings out from the wheel?
- There are many ways to look at this particular question. To actually get the entire bearing out of the wheel stick a screwdriver into the round hole of the bearing. Then just pop it out. To actually grease the ball bearings within the bearing, you have to pop off the back shield. I only know that you can do this with Bones Reds. They have a special back that sits in the bearing. Pull this off and you'll have access to the balls in the bearing. If you don't have Bones Reds don't try to take the back off, cause it might break the bearing. After pulling off the back, you can put lube in the balls and then spin the bearing in your fingers to spread the lube. To put the back, back on you need to properly separate the bearings. Then place the back on and replace your bearings into the wheel. Before greasing the bearing, wipe off the bearing with a paper towel, clean the bearings as well before greasing by shaking them in nail polish remover .
- Q:What is the difference between abec 7 and abec 5 bearings?
- I used to roller skate when I was younger and I had abec 1 bearings which were very good at the time but I heard that the higher abec bearings were better but I'm only about 70% sure about that. If your comparing abec 5's against abec 7's they probably don't even make abec 1's anymore so I'm guessing that 7's are better
- Q:Help with my bones reds skateboard bearings?
- Thats strange. I've had the same Bones bearings for years and they spin just as good as they ever did since the day i bought them. If it;s not to late I would say go back and exchange them or do like your friends said and try to break them in. But I can't imagine ever having to break in a good set of bearings...good luck
- Q:how to replace wheel bearings on a 92 toyota celica 2.2 GT?
- Toyota Celica Wheel Bearing
- Q:How often should I service my car wheel bearings, if ever?
- The right time to repack (re grease) the bearings is every time you do brakes like if you do the front brakes and you happen to cut (resurface) the rotors, the is the time to repack the bearings and that is done once the rotors are cut and then when you do the rear brakes, they usually don't have bearings that need grease because the get lubricated by the gear oil inside the rear differential so if you only replace the front brake pads without cutting the rotors then don't worry about repacking the bearings, more likely whenever you need to replace the rotors then for sure you will have idle new bearings or repack the old bearings before you Transfer them in to the new rotors. Hope this info. is helpful
- Q:do bones reds super bearings work good for longboards?
- zealous bearings, don't waste your money on those bearings.
- Q:i have repaired the wheel bearings (outer) how do i do the inners?
- If you ripped it apart to do the out bearing why did you not replace the inners while you were at it? Are we talking front or rear? If it is the front then they should have been in your hand when you pulled it apart if its front wheel drive then it is in the hub and you need a hub bearing. You need to put more details bro so we can answer you correctly.
- Q:Repacking bicycle bearings: should I clean the old bearings first, and if so, what should I use to clean them?
- any other like item such as Park polylube 1000 is fine too. Dont use 3 in 1 oil it is too viscous and will break down as a lube in bearings .
- Q:Wheel Hub or Bearings??
- Front or rear? The rear has hubs that are sealed for life now (except for RWD, AWD and 4WD). They do go out. On FWD (and 4WD) the front has bearings, and these also go bad. They are also sealed for life bearings, but these are serviced by pressing the old bearings out and pressing new ones in. There is the off chance that it is a loose nut on the axle by the way. Or a bad ball joint. But I am assuming that you know that it is the wheel moving and not the whole rear member.
- Q:How much would it cost to replace the rod bearings in a 1987 Pontiac Fiero?
- the only thing about that is if the bearings are knocking then the crank might be scared. i believe i would stay clear of that car. something made those bearings go, maybe a bad oil pump.
