Q:looking for a lab to analyze contents of carpet?
Good heavens, that's strange. Did you buy this carpet yourself, or was it already there? Do you know what the material is? I have lived in five houses with wall-to-wall carpeting and have never, ever seen that. If you can't find out what the material is on the phone, then take a piece of it to Home Depot or a specialty carpeting store or someplace like that and get some help. If you have major problems with this, I would call your local television news station and get them interested in a faulty product story. This might pressure the carpeting manufacturer to pay some attention to your issue. One final note though: whoever owned the carpet before you might have applied some kind of product to the carpet which is causing its detioration. Good luck.
Q:Living room, bedroom all installed floor heating.Like this it can not use carpet, is it true?
Carpet has the characteristics of hiding dust. two, When burning, there is particles floating upward through the carpet, this is that the carpet has thermal insulation effect. hinder the floor heating to dissipate heat;
Q:How can I remove soot from carpet?
believe it or not the best way to remove stains such as this is a little water in a spray bottle and a shop vacuum. spray the area then extract and repeat until clean.
Q:Landlord wants me to replace entire carpet?
Let’s start with the premise the landlord is not entitled to full replacement value of the carpet, because awarding such would unjustly enrich the landlord So the question becomes what is the FMV (fair market value) of the carpet? Ie the life span, on that issue it really comes down to your local landlord judge Some jurisdiction might be 5 years, while others may go 10, I have found 7 years( IRS guide lines) tend to be rule of thumb by me, but you should check your local landlord court
Q:What material of the office carpet is better?
it is danger to children' respiratory system, because the wool loss rate is too high and the color fastness is not enough, so if you let it go, you will find lots of wool on your hands. you could let it natural drying. actually you'd best ask for someone who know the carpet well to help you select qualities. the most simple method to identify the quality is to get the color pictures respectively with color software and use PHOTOSHOP to open them. . The other is the degree of color fading of the carpet. you just care about the pattern, but some patterns are difficult to wash, and if there is a family member with a history of allergies, you'd better not use carpet having silky texture, and then cook it in boiling water for 30 minutes. In general, the carpet costs high and very difficult to clean, what's more, it is easy to fade. Basically like this, three color value totaled more than 30, adn fluctuate up and down. the price is also very expensive. acrylic fiber carpet is the easiest to clean, but you should think carefully if there are more than 10 acrylic fiber. the carpet wool loss rate is an important indicator to choose a carpet, because the protein will be oxidizing decoloration after a long time exposure in the air. Take photos under the same conditions, taking a photo with the camera without sunlight and adequate lighting. processing is very trouble. compiled carpet is the most suitable for ordinary families. you need to be careful when you buy, seizing the wool and wrenching it with your hand, seeing if it is easy to loose. the wooly carpet is the best.
Q:Problems with my shag rug...?
I suggest...brushing it/raking it. Sounds weird but back in the 70's when shag rug was in, raking was introduced to the carpets. If you rake it, it combs the direction of the carpet, but also pulls materials in from deep within the carpet. If this doesn't work...try a lint brush with teeth. Not a roller that picks up sticky stuff.
Q:How do you wash a bathroom rug?
i have washed them before, unless its an old one and the rubber backing is starting to crack and peel or flake off i just wash them with hot water in my home washer and hang them outside or over the handle in the shower to dry. but no they wont melt in the dryer. i have done that also. but it does make the backing deteriorate quicker so the rug wont last as long. if the backing is already falling apart its best to just toss in the trash and get a new one. i personally dont even have rugs in my bathroom anymore. its easier to mop the floors without them. and they are just germ havens. the ones that go around the toilet are just nasty, and instead of having a rug outside of the shower to stand and dry off i always hang up the towel on the shower rack i used the day before and put that on the floor the next day. it is more sanitary anyway. those wet rugs are really nasty when it comes to bacteria.
Q:rugs???!!!?
i would buy a fly sheet, theyre really useful in the summer and as long as you have an exersize sheet, it doesnt really matter if its florsent or not. what have you previously been using to tarvel in? just carry on using that or a cooler with a circingle in the summer.
Q:Advice on cleaning my carpet?
Move everything out, vacuum the entire room of dust and debris, and buy some powdered carpet cleaner that you just sprinkle on the carpeting. When it dries, vacuum up all the residue, then move everything back in. Don't use vinegar. It will soak into the carpet and you'll have to wait hours and hours for it to dry before you can vacuum again, and then it will still smell like vinegar. If the carpet is still dirty after the treatment, you might want to rent a carpet machine from somewhere and use a water-based cleaner--but again, vacuum first, clean next and wait until it dries thoroughly, then re-vacuum.
Q:Stained carpet question?
If your carpet cleaner hasn't worked you could try Blue Magic Automobile Upholstery Cleaner; it also will clean carpeting and is the best in a spray can I've ever used. I buy it in the Automobile Section at WalMart but many auto care and parts stores sell it. If the above doesn't work, call in a professional carpet cleaning company but don't wait very long before doing this; after all, the longer a stain sets, the harder it will be to get it out. If the cleaners can't remove it, get carpet installers in. They can cut the area out and replace it with a piece cut out of a closet. This may look different since it hasn't had any traffic on it so don't expect a perfect match unless all the carpet is fairly new. It might be time to remove the carpet in your bedroom and install hardwood or laminate flooring. I also suggest you be more careful in the future as finding a remedy to this problem will probably be rather expensive. You might offer to pay for half of the expenses to repair the area to show you are growing up and accepting responsibility.
