FAQ

Q: Are CNBM pumps available in DIY stores?

A: Yes, currently, we’re available for DIY stores all over the world.

Q: Where do I have to send pumps for service?

A: You must send them to the CNBM PUMP Service Point or, after contacting Customer Care, to the CNBM PUMP service center in China.

Q: Are your pumps acid-proofed?

A: To choose the right pumps for chemical applications, we do need further details on hydraulic operations as well as on the type, concentration and temperature of the liquid.

Q: Can your pumps mount Eff.1 motors

A: Currently, only on request though this will shortly be a CNBM standard.

Q: Are your pumps protected against dry running?

A: No, unprotected centrifugal pumps are not generally designed for dry running. It is important to give us or your dealer as much information as possible about the system in which the pump is used. Inlet pressure, the type of liquid to be pumped, together with relative density, viscosity and temperature, for example, are required in order to allow CNBM to recommend the right pump with the right gaskets for a long operating lifetime.

Q: How can I get trained on CNBM products?

A: Yes, we provide training courses in our factory (products, general and specific pump technology, hydraulics, and practical applications). Please consult your sales manager or get in touch with our headquarters for more information.

Q:Does the water pump and the circulating pump belong to the centrifugal pump?
They're all centrifugal pumps!
Q:Question for you. I'm looking for a 12v (no AC converter, please) water pump to drive up to 4 water misters. Needs to run off the battery, without an AC converter (already found those). The pump will pull from a water reservoir and provide cooling relief on hot days through the misters. BTW... the pump should be reasonably small, limited to a few pounds...If you have any ideas, please advise. Thanks again,Robert
The ac converters are 12V rectifiers so just use the pump (wire to a battery) without the converter or check with motor home repair place
Q:Which is the better option for a home water pump? a submersible pump or floor based pump?
last week i got a price on a above ground pump it pumps water up from 100 ft. it sure beats pulling 100ft of caseing every few years
Q:I have a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee 6 cyl while driving home the other day my check engine light came on ,then I noticed my battery was loosing its' charge ,then I noticed my temperature gauge rising very fast.I stoped to see what the problem was.The vehicle had over heated and the serpentine belt was partially off Iet it cool down then I put water in it and drove it home which was about a quarter of a mile.I noticed no problems with the fan hitting the water pump pully until I put the belt back on .My water pump pulley appears to be off line how do I fix this?
The water pump pulley is bolted to the water pump flange. The flange bolts are sheared off or have worked loose and the pulley/belt combination are no longer turning the water pump. If the flange has come loose from the water pump shaft, it will still be bolted to the water pump pulley. This may have also been caused by a locked up water pump. You can not fix a loose water pump flange or a locked up water pump. A new/rebuilt water pump will have to be installed. Happy Trails!
Q:I have a Chevy Express Van 3500, i believe that the water pump is leaking, how long would it last before major breakage?
If it really is the water pump, then the coolant is seeping out of the weep hole at the bottom of the pump. Leakage from this location indicates that the seal around the shaft is worn. Eventually (no more than a few days), the leak will degrade to the point that the pump must be replaced. I personally don't use stop-leak in any system in our cars - I prefer to fix the leak and be done with it! For now, keep a close eye on that leak - and your temperature gauge.
Q:I want to put a water pump on a horse trough with the pump on the outside of the fence. There is a hose attachement at the bottom of the trough for the intake. I want to have the outake hook back to fall into the top of the water, reducing algae and eliminating mosquito larvae. I have never used a pump before. Need advice on type, size, etc. Thanks!
A 12 volt water feature pump from a garden center would do the job. Four litres a minute with a shower head on the end going into the trough should give the aeration you need. The head off a plastic watering can would also do.
Q:How many lift pumps should be used for 100 meters tall buildings?
35m lift around. HVAC pump lift is generally between 5~50m, the selection of the head is mainly to see the difference between water pressure. As head of 35m as an example, if the inlet height of 60m, so the theory of height =60+35=95m, if all pipe closed air conditioning water system, and resistance of the equipment for water is equal to the pressure difference is equal to the pump head to choose your height, and out of the water is the same, the resistance loss of lift all into the water. The calculated resistance loss is needed to pump lift. The resistance component (1) chiller resistance at 60-100kpa (2) water collector resistance in 120-200kpa (3) 20-50kpa (4) air terminal equipment body resistance is generally not less than 40kpa so 100m building the resistance calculation of estimated value = (1) 80kp+ (2) chiller resistance pipe, the collector resistance (140kpa+ 3) air terminal equipment 40kpa+ (4) body resistance 50kp=310kpa safety factor of 10% 320x1.1=341kpa H= P/ (head of pressure water density * acceleration of gravity g =352000/ (10m) X9.8 =34.8m fand) so we head for 35 meters
Q:I am a business man.My Instituate name is Rockydockyard. This Institiate build up Ships, containerships etc.So we found a high pressure water pump.
You okorder /... and in collage then you say you have an Instituate or was that Institiate? You probably ought to finish grade school. Then maybe you can find a girlfriend. She may even have a high pressure water pump!
Q:What causes a water pump on a car to go bad????? and are they a pain to change by yourself?????
Bearing siezes/ Housing leaks/ Seals wear out. All do to use, expanding/contracting due to heat and cool down, and time also. Just a side note for Bryan K a car being FWD or RWD has no bearing on how much room you have for the waterpump or vice versa. This is a generalized statement that holds no truth. I'll give you one example that makes that statement false : when replacing a timing belt/water pump 96-01 Audi A4 1.8t 4cyl the entire front bumper and support must be removed in order to gain access to the timing belt and water pump. However this method is true for both FWD/AWD models. 99.5 to 2004 volkswagens have the same 1.8t engine but they are not longitudinally orientated the water pump and timing belt can be accessed fairly easy a lot less labor than the audi and the jetta is also available in FWD and AWD. Before someone contradicts the AWD jetta look up 4motion volkswagens. There are not alot in the states but they exist. Thanks for allowing me to throw inmy two cents in correcting generalized truths that are not true.
Q:How to introduce water pump?
A pump is a machine that transports liquids or pumps liquids. It will be the prime mover of the mechanical energy or other external energy transfer to the liquid, the liquid energy increase, mainly used to transport liquids including water, oil, alkali liquid, emulsion, suspension emulsion and liquid metal, but also transport liquid, gas mixtures and liquids containing suspended solids. Pump performance of technical parameters are flow, suction, lift, shaft power, water power, efficiency, etc.; according to the different principles of work can be divided into volume pumps, vane pumps and other types. Displacement pump is to use its studio volume changes to transfer energy; vane pump is to use the rotating blade and water interaction to transfer energy, there are centrifugal pumps, axial flow pumps and mixed flow pumps and other types.A pump is a machine that transports liquids or pumps liquids.
