Q:Dell Vostro PC won't turn on if power cable left in overnight. Why is this, and how do I fix?
This sounds like a bad shutdown. Are you sure it's shutting down and not hibernating or sleeping? As it's new, you should call Dell, but you can try this. Close all your programs and shut it down by holding the power button in until it's off (Just 5-6 seconds.) See if it starts up after that. Edit:What happens if you try shutting down with the On/Off switch?
Q:PC turns on immediately after connecting power cable?
Hmm that sounds like you have missplaced the cables to the motherboard from the front pannel (on switch, HDD led etc.) Kenny
Q:What size gage is the PS3 Power cable?
Any standard computer power cable will do. The same kind you plug into a standard power supply or a monitor. I swap them all the time.
Q:Do all power supplies 450 watt(or above)have the 12v 4 pin?
Almost all current motherboards power their CPU with a 12 volt CPU power cable. There are two kinds: the 4 pin 12V cable and the 8 pin 12V cable. The 4 pin cable is often called a P4 cable (although it's a very bad name) and the 8 pin cable is called an EPS12V cable. The P4 cable is the most common. You should find it on 90% of power supplies you buy on the market, regardless of how many watts they have. Some power supplies have both the 4pin and 8 pin cables for redundancy. ~~~ All modern power supplies nowadays have 4 pin CPU power cables. They come as a standard. The 24 pin ATX power supply is also quite common, it's kind of hard to get one that's 20 pin nowadays.
Q:Double sided AC power cable pins?
If the equipment is under warranty, I might consider taking it back and complaining. If not, the hardware store is your recourse here. Good luck!
Q:What power cable gauge do I use to hook up a car amplifier? Most amplifier kits appear to be under sized.?
with that kind of amp go with 8 gauge
Q:I want to put a switch in a power cable heading to USB Hub?
Before you attempt this, make sure you have the following items: -Wire strippers -Electrical tape -Two terminal switch -Scissors IMPORTANT! make sure that the cable is unplugged from the computer and the hub before you do this! 1st, cut the cord halfway with the scissors. Next, remove the outer wire insulation from the two new ends you just cut with the wire strippers. Now strip the small colored wires that are now exposed. Then connect the red wire from one half of the cord to a terminal on the switch. Do the same with the other red wire from the other half of the cord and connect it to the other terminal on the switch. Strip the other small wires and connect them back to their appropriate colored wire. Finally, wrap each wire individually with electrical tape, then wrap the entire gap in the cord with it. Now plug the cord in and try it out!
Q:How can I power an older IDE Hard Drive with a Power Supply with Only SATA power?
The SATA motherboard uses probably ATX or MicroATX. These are motherboard independant, but for SATA drives you need a SATA power adapter (it converts the 4 wire MOLEX into a flat SATA power cable). Most SATA drives come with this or even the motherboard does. if your power supply is ATX and your Motherboard is ATX then it will work (granted the wattage is enough for all your devices).
Q:Amplifier power cable?
Kicker,Tsunami,Memphis, or KnuConceptz. U can get away with 8awg but thats a nice car and u dont want to risk fryin anything so stick with 4awg I really dont recommend 8awg in ANY setup just dont like it, 4awg is perfect and gives u headroom as well, and 0awg wuld be overkill.
Q:Amp power cable wont fit on battery?
I'm not quite sure how your trying to attach it to the battery, but you should be able to take the ring and slide it over the the little bolt that is on your terminal. After that just tighten the nut over it. If this isn't working you may want to invest in a aftermarket terminal. They're pretty cheap and depending on the one you get you should be able to hook it up with the ring on the end or strip it and connect it using whatever method the instructions say.
