More Applications of Universal Windshield Wiper:
- Q:My windshield wipers on my 04 subaru impreza just smear water whenever it rains. I have cleaned it very well, even used clay bar. I have tried all different types of wipers with no luck. Now this is where it gets interesting, I replaced the windshield in november. The old one had this problem and now the new one does. I even changes the wipers when I got the new windshield. Could it be that I need new wiper arms because the springs may be worn out and not applying the wiper hard enough to the windshield?
- your BF is a goof ball. But did they do a trans flush or just drain it and refill it. did they change the trans filter too ? ether way you did the right thing. an 03 is not that old. tell him your going to stop bathing, you would not want to disturb all the gunk on your body.
- Q:I bought a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt in that year, and I have not changed the wiper blades since. The blades seem to be wearing out (i.e. - They frequently fail to get about 15% of the water off of the areas they traverse), and I want to replace them. I don‘t know anything about windshield wiper blades. First of all, what type of blade does my car use? What is its designation? Secondly, from which stores can I cheaply buy decent brand replacements? Thanks.
- You should be able to purchase wiper blades for just about anywhere. Walmart, KMart, Zellers, Canadian Tire(if you are in Canada), etc. The main concern you need to know is what lenght (inches) each blade is. Also most department stores have a reference book to check the blade lenght. Depending on how much you are willing to pay, the range is vast. I purchase the $5/blade cheepy ones and replace yearly. Some can cost much more and may need to be changed just as frequent. Your choice.
- Q:what part do i need to buy for my car, for the windshield wipers. They dont work or make noise.?
- Hi Rick, its hard to tell from your description, if you are mech. Inclined check the circuit fuse its in the fuseblock cover should identify, visually inspect, test with multimeter or testlight for continuity if its good check wiper motor for current when you turn wipers on,if its got battery voltage present the internal brushes maybe worn or motor or linkage are frozen. If no current is present at motor the on/off switch or wiring from switch to motor are defective. If the motor operates when you tap the housing with switch on then the motor/brushes are worn. Hope this helps goodluck
- Q:How do you change your windshield wipers? Do you need to look for a specific type?
- Yes, every make model of car has its own size. Ask the guy behind the counter at the auto parts store to look it up on the computer (or look it up yourself in those books that hang from the shelves). Most autoparts stores will put them on for you at no extra charge, and you can watch them do it. They usually just snap on or off.
- Q:I noticed I needed to replace wiper blades so I did. However the driver side still wasnt wiping. I was told it was likely the arm so I replaced that as well. But it still isnt working. Nothing seems loose, could something be bent internally to where the blade isnt pressing hard enough to move away water?Anyone know how to fix it, or where I might take to find out? I live in Pierce County, Wa. Rain season is on its way and I cant see when Im driving with this problem! Also my truck is a 2001 Chevy S10, if that makes a difference in parts or repair.
- Unfortunate for you, those power lines running directly under your floor. I know that foil does an excellent job on ordinary cables for TV's . It is only a single wrap and a steel ground shield around that and does a very good job on this product You can buy foil sheet by the roll, it has two sides of aluminum foil and a center of polyproplene. The material comes in 10 foot wide and costs about 18 cents a sq foot. It is used as a reflective insulation in building construction. A source on line is RadiantGuard, 11244 Old WorksDr. RiscoTX 75035 They have a website. On steel galvanized sheets, those come in variety of sizes and can be purchased at steel supply houses and Heating and Cooling supply houses. The cost is about 40 cents a square foot for this.
- Q:I have a 98 Pontiac Grand Prix. The fluid is not dispensing. There is plenty of fluid. The nozzles are not clogged. I changed the fuse. So I‘m thinking it‘s the pump. I searched the problem but could only find advice for several different cars, unfortunately not mine. I don‘t have a tester so I‘m taking a chance buying a new pump. I doubt they will give me a refund if that is not the problem.
- If one of the lines is not broken and the pump isn't working can't you just remove the front brace and pull it out? I've never seen a headlight in the way of pulling out a washer tank. Go through the fender well.
- Q:My windshield wipers only work when its not raining. ?
- you should stay with the orginal not good to mix copper and pvc
- Q:where can I find a replace windshield wiper assembly for a 99 isuzu rodeo cheap? I am on a tight budget and kids in the complex I live in snaped my rear windshield wiper off and I do not think a wiper will help I think I need the whole assembly.thank you for your time and help
- if the kids snapped off the wiper the assembly should be good unless they stripped the sprocket. it sounds like you need a bayonet /wiper arm look at your local junk / salvage yard first if not then the part store , it shouldn't be very expensiveinspect the sprocket and see if the ''teeth '' are in good condition . good luck
