You have no control over how well others play or how a band director chooses to seat people. You only have control over what you do. So the better question would be, How can I become a better player? The answer is take private lessons and [: practice :] (yes, those are repeat signs). Concert band chair placement is usually based exclusively on your audition performance, not on your leadership abilities. Prepare as well as you can and perform your audition to your highest level of ability. If someone beats you out, you have nothing to be ashamed of. However, if you don't try your hardest and still get first chair, then you should be ashamed of your own effort (or the lack thereof). Marching band section leaders are often upperclassmen that have demonstrated marching and playing ability. Work on those aspects as well as working well getting along well with other band members and you've done all you can.

Q:My back is starting to hurt from me lying on my bed whilst playing x-box and its time for a change, its my birthday coming up so i would like something different a a good bean bag or gaming chair.Which one should i get and which is comfier ?

Q:Office Chairs: I am looking good chair that is comfortable to sit in, will not hurt my back, easy to roll across my desk area. I have sat in the Herman Miller chair and really like them..don't think my boss will go for the $800+ price tag on it though. My desk is kind of low so my arm rest right now kind of get in the way. See if the chair is available slightly used, as many offices change furniture often or go out of business. See if the chair could be leased. See if all the chairs are the same in your ofice maybe they will let you trade with a coworker Check other chairs at a place like office depot to see if they will fit just as well at a better price. $800 is not necessarily that outlandish for a chair compared to other new desk chairs, I rarely see them for less then $200. If you have some physical limitation that makes you current chair not work for you (you are too tall or are too short) your boss should be willing to find a chair that fits you, at a reasonable price. If you really love your job and you really love your boss and are otherwise happy where you work. Offer to buy the chair yourself, because a great job is more precious than a great chair.

Like handicapped restrooms, the courtesy scooters in stores don't get used very much. I do not think that any business should be made to police the behavior of their customers if their customers are not doing anything illegal. Obesity is not illegal. It is a health problem. As I posted in response to one of your other questions, I do not believe obesity is a conscious choice, but a bio-chemical imbalance in the insulin system. I fully believe education is the way to cure obesity. If everyone knew about the function of insulin in their system as well as they knew the channel and time of American Idol, there would be more concious choice in eating properly, and, hopefully, more need for your services as a health-aware chef.

They won't just be living on the chair but in the carpet as well. You need to clear the floor and vacuum. I had trouble with fleas recently and had to spray the carpets, I used a natural based insect spray. If all else fails you may need to flea bomb the place. Get any pets treated as well. Supposedly fleas are attracted to light, if you put a lamp over a container of water they are supposed to jump towards the light and end up falling into the water. This isn't just a one off treatment, they lay eggs that are just waiting to hatch. Even if the room is locked up and not used for a while the flea eggs are supposed to survive until they sense movement.
