Q:Carpet how much????????????????????
A rough estimate is approximately $1500.00. There are however many different brands of carpet. Whatever brand you choose, you'll want a good quality carpet padding. Also you did not state if you are going to need old carpet removed. If you do, this is an added cost. Are you installing the carpet yourself. Not recommended if you have not done this before. This is also an added cost if you'll need it installed. The best of luck to you! It's fun to redecorate, if only it weren't so darn expensive!!!
Q:What carpet is suitable to be put in front of the company? is there any requirement about color, texture, pattern and thickness?
Gules
Q:how can I get mustard stains out of carpet?
Hi, Unfortunately there is nothing that will take out a mustard stain, it depends on how old the carpet is, but you could try to claim on your warranty through the manufacturer wether it's shaw, Mohawk, Gulistan, etc.. ask where you bought the carpet and make a claim. Unfortunately under a stain warranty coffee, tea and mustard are not covered but you could try. What has happened is that the yellow from the mustard has thoroughly died the carpet fiber from it's original color.. Any harsh cleaner will discolor the carpet so be careful...Try the cleaning line by Capture..they have it at Lowes or Home Depot in the flooring dept. It's really good. Some stains require multiple attempts AFTER it dries . Good Luck... Chris 7 yrs Flooring Specialist Lowes, michigan
Q:Where is the cheapest place to buy rugs?
www.okorder.com you can buy cheapest rugs in this company
Q:Are memory foam rugs good?
I like how soft they are and they are nice to stand on.
Q:how to stretch carpet?
Your answer from CowboyDoc was something very important to consider. The age of the carpet. Having been the owner of a flooring store for many years, I totally agree with what Doc told you. If the carpet is old, you can most certainly rip it. Your answer from John G was accurate as to how to do it. I sure would have liked to have him on my staff of installers. He sounds very knowledgeable. I hope you have good luck with your stretching job. And DO consider the age of the carpet. Once it rips you are going to be forced to buy new carpet. I hope that doesn't happen. Best of luck to you.
Q:How do I dye a wool rug border?
I have worked with Rit dyes quite frequently and although they are good dies for natural fibers, I am not sure painting a boarder will net the results you desire. First of all, the dye has to be mixed with salt. Because you will not be able to rinse and spin the dye out of he rug, that salt will just remain in your rug when the dye has dried. This may leave salt crystals in your rug along with making it quite stiff. And,because the dye is wet, it will certainly bleed outside of the boarders of the rug. Another problem is the dye bleeding onto the floor causing permanent damage. Even if you can jump over these obstacles, the dye will remain in the rug, full strength because it can not be rinsed and spun out, so it can easily transfer the color from the rug to your shoes to other areas of the house. And, heaven forbid, if the rug gets wet at a later date it will reactivate the dye and boy I will hear you cursing from here. So, you see, using this type of dying process is really full of challenges and there is too much to go wrong so I do not think it is worth the risk. However, there may be other dyes I am unaware of. Do an internet search on dyes and also rug dying to get some helpful hints and possible products that will net you the results you are after. I have lots of resources that I will check on and edit my answer if I get more information.
Q:How do i stop my rug from sliding?
There is a special rubbery ( but its not) type of mesh/woven etc under layment that you put under a rug to stop it from scooting. Comes in many sizes so know your rug size and it can be cut to fit using scissors. Get the type for rug over carpet. Leaves no residue ( like double sided tape can). Washable , so when it loses its tackiness you toss it in to be washed and its as good as new. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
Q:why do you rug a stabled horse?
You rug a horse if it is cold. Show horses need short coats, the warmth of the blanket takes away the nee for a horse to grow long hair to stay warm. Also, some people do it to keep the horse clean, from laying down and from dust. Good Luck!
Q:How should I restore this old area rug?
You may need to have the rug treated by a pro cleaner. If you do look for a baneclean dealer who does rugs. If you want to try use a store rented steam cleaner use Woolite in place of the store steam chemicals. mix the Woolite per directions. Mix with warm water use a very soft brush and work the Woolite into the rug. Use the steam cleaner to rinse with plain warm water. One pass with the plain water , 3 passes with suction only to remove the water. Let dry for a day or more before use. There are chemical brighteners, try to avoid.
