Q:How do I stop my cat from scratching and pooping on the bathroom rug?
The rugs may have 'litterbox smell on them now. Try using an enzymatic cleaner on them. You can find the cleaner at the pet store. The other option is to not put down the rugs for a bit until kitty gets used to the box again and forgets about the rugs....
Q:what is a rug pen?
Q:Can Stanley Steamer Remove Ink from Carpet?
Chances, to locate a carpet cleaner who can make after hours stain removal calls. The people at this web site are certified, insured, professionals. The longer you wait for a pro, the harder the stain is to remove. Good Luck
Q:Best way to clean carpets?
Yes. is best and reasonably priced.
Q:Is there a way to bleach/dye carpet?
Don't bleach it. I tried that on a very light carpet once and it did not even come close to matching the rest of the carpet. And if you were going to do the entire carpet, I think the fumes could be toxic. I have heard of dying it though so I know it is possible.
Q:new carpet in house?
if you do put new carpet down, do most of the work your self pull up old carpet and prep the floor your self.take up the carpet tack and all the nails or stapples and clean the floors. this will save you a lot of money even if you have to hire someone to put the new carpet down.. when you buy carpet you dont have to have the store install it, you can hire an out side contracter to do it for you for a lot less money..look in your phone book for carpet installers..
Q:Does anyone have a Dyson and frieze carpet?
Cut pile carpets (frieze, shag, plush) clean well, but sometimes don't wear well. A frieze gets even wear, due to how it lays. Loop pile (berber) wear very well, but is more difficult to clean. One thing to consider is what is the carpeting made of (nylon, acrylic, olefin/polypropylene, wool, etc.) as this also determines how well it will clean up. As for a dyson vacuum cleaner, it'll be like cleaning any other type of cut pile carpet, not a problem. The best way to keep carpets looking great is for regular vacuuming and getting a good carpet cleaning company in 1 couple times a year. When you're ready for that, let me know and I can give you some questions to ask when you're calling around to find someone.
Q:Rug question! please answer ?
Either vacuum them or hang them on a line outside and beat them. You could take them outside and shake them out, too.
Q:Is a rug pad neccesary for laminate wood floors?
You will either need a rug pad or carpet tape to protect your new purchase from slipping and wrinkling. As to which you prefer, it depends on how plush the rug you purchased is. I have a very dense wool rug in my kitchen that is on ceramic tile and used two sided carpet tape to anchor it down. This enables me to have it vacuummed without fighting the edges with the suction and keeps it from wrinkling while doing so. It is thick enough on its own that a rug pad is unnecessary. That being said, I also have another rug under which I have a rug pad mainly to protect the flooring underneath it. It has a rough jute backing that with constant traffic will scratch the floor under it, hence the rug pad.
Q:Need help painting carpeted stairwell.?
I don't see any mention in your Q about a TARP, but certainly the carpet needs to be masked, and covered with drops. You can use shielding, but it's a tedious, often one step at a time process. In your case a lot of prep will give you the better job. I might use thin plexi. or even a wide blade MUD knife, to press back the carpet, then with something substantial like gaffing tape, or even Duct tape pressed into the carpet to keep the fibers off the area to be painted. In any case cutting will be the major issue, and caution the keyword. The prep alone will take longer than the painting, but worth the effort, and seemingly your better option. NO I might not pull the carpet, but then again, I don't have an idea of how the carpet has been installed? Tack Strips? Nailed/stapled to the wall butting? Glued? Steven Wolf Just my two sense
