Q:What kind of carpet should I use?
Best kind of carpet, is the type that is easy to clean. My neighbor has very shaggy carpeting, and the result is more bugs, and gunk in the floor, and dirt and stains are hard to remove. Stick away from cotton, wool, polyester, etc. There are specialty carpet stores, check your local listings, also general Bed Bath and Beyond Type home improvement stores have various carpets. For cheap deals try visiting the Flee market or something. Since carpets are personal preference, it is best you feel the texture and stuff in the store for yourself.
Q:The carpet is dirty. How do you clean it quickly?
Remove the carpet on the plant and animal oil, cotton can be used to clean gasoline dipped in high purity; fruit juice and beer stains, first with a soft cloth dipped in detergent solution to wipe, and then add a little vinegar water scrubbing solution; ironmould, in sewage sprinkle fine salt, reoccupy lukewarm soap scrub; if the trace is appropriate with milk soak for a moment, then brush can brush dipped in milk.
Q:Math Carpet Question?
I'm sure you could figure it out, but it would depend on a lot of variables (i.e. total diameter of roll, width of carpet, etc). Would probably be much easier to unroll it in all honesty.
Q:possible hard floor over carpet?
Easy, simply build a new floor on top of the carpet but which does not apply pressure on the carpet. Imagine a thin sheet of plywood. Now, what you do is drive a bunch of nails through so they stick out about 1 on the other side. Space the nails an inch apart so the entire sheet of plywood will sit in top of the nails all of which are no further than an inch from an adjacent neighboring nail, as they go through the carpet to the hard subfloor. All you do is poke small holes in the carpet and padding. The same thing happens when a person lies on a bed of nails. The closely spaced, many nails spread the weight over a much larger area transferring the weight through the carpet rather than ON the carpet to the solid wood subfloor. Now, the problem is, how do you keep your weight from simply pushing the plywood down around the nails? Easy again, lay on another sheet of plywood and glue it together. The top sheet (with your hardwood veneer) will sit on top of the nail heads. Use wood screws to clamp the sheets together and you have a durable top floor surface which will sit on pinpoints that go through the carpet harmlessly. Build enough to cover the carpet. You will add 2 or so the the height of the flooring. You will STILL have a problem, avoiding damage to the carpet by water or anything else spilled which will work through the cracks between sheets and end up in the rug and pad. Somehow, you will have to seal the top sheets to each other and to the walls to keep anything and everything from getting to the carpet. And then, you would have to work around the edge where the 2 lip would be at the carpet edge. A lot of factories do this same kind of elevated flooring to hide electrical cables and piping in places like rooms of electronics. The difference is they simply build channels for things since they have no carpet to protect, and they do not care if dirt gets into the channels where the wires and pipes are located. It is going to be VERY expensive!
Q:How to clean the the carpet with drink spilled on it?
Soak it with cold water and then clean it with dry foam carpet cleaner: Using a cloth with mild diluted detergent to suck its besmirch, then using dry foam cleanser to clean it. Add coffee with milk or cream: Apply a little washing liquid. Clean it with carpet cleaner or ice cream or milk when it's necessary, and then dry cleaning: Spray the soda water on the stain. Juice. Coffee with cream and black tea. And then use the dry cleaner to deal with residual grease stains: Spray the soda water on the stain. And then use the dry cleaner to remove residual milk stains. Then use dry foam carpet cleaner and carpet cleaner to clean it.
Q:How do you remove carpet glue from the floor?
Hand cream. First, the surface of the printed products tear off, and then put some hand cream on top, slowly rub with your thumb, rub for a while, you can rub the residual gum are rubbed down. Just slow down. Hand cream is a kind of grease, which is not compatible with gum. Remove glue is to use this characteristic.
Q:Does anyone know how to make those rugs out of t-shirts?
You can also use the whole t-shirt and make them several layers thick, sewing them together much like a quilt and making a rug that way. But I like the texture of a woven or knitted or crocheted rug, especially when it is made of rags. How many you need depends on many things, such as the size of the rug, and how thin you cut the strips. You will need MUCH more than you think... I know! Collect as many as you can from friends and neighbours and search the second-hand shops for them as well.
Q:Carpet recommendations?
We just purchased a new carpet for our home, I had never purchased one new before either. The one we got was a Mohawk brand with stain guard on it. Make sure the seller at the carpet place explains the yarn count to you too. This makes a big difference in carpet. Also when buying a padding for underneath the carpet, we bought a platinum one because of the high traffic here and we wanted a little cushion on the floors.
Q:what are three purposes of blankets and rugs?
1) To add warmth and comfort. Blankets can be used to snuggle up in the winter months, especially back when fireplaces were not available in every home. Rugs are used for good insultation in the cold months, and help to keep a home cozy and warm. 2) In the Renaissance periods, rugs were used as a status symbol, as well in the Baroque styles and Restoration period. Oriental, hand crafted rugs often were used to denote a status of wealth - which is why many kings had oriental rugs that adorned walls (as tapestries). Rarely were the rugs found on the floor - they were too expensive for that. 3) The more widely known reason for rugs, of course is a place to wipe your feet. It is seen as a welcoming into someones home. Blankets, as well can also be used as an accessory, when thrown over a chair, sofa, or end of a bed. They are convienent on these surfaces, because it is an easy way to add color and comfort into a space. I hope this helped a bit! Let me know if you need more help with it!
