For my 2 roborovski hamsters I use cotton wool bought from cosmetic stores because it's alot cheaper and you get more for your money. You could also rip up toilet paper or dish cloths and socks. EDIT: Sorry I thought you meant bedding for your hamsters to sleep in. Any type of paper would do. Just shread it up into strips and put it in. For my mouse I used to use newspaper and spend a while cutting up to fill a plastic bag so I would use the other half for the next clean up.

Depends on what kind of mattress it is.If it is a spring mattress, it is no problem to put it directly on the bedstead.If it is a latex mattress, it depends on the thickness.In general, the following 10cm, it is best to pad something on the bedstead, cardboard boxes on the line, you do not need to buy a bed board. It was an expression and it rhymed with night. In olden times, bed bugs were prevalent with poor laundry methods and up to 5 people in a bed.

Q:We have two Huskies that are really hard on beds. We have tried all the ones at the big pet stores. They are all cheap egg crate foam. We want the best quality bed that wont break down. Anyone have ideas?

From experience on wasting my money on beds, we got a big hard plastic dog basket from a second hand site for cheap and use a blanket folded up to fit in the basket. The blanket is just cotton with a little soft filling so fur does not stick to it and it washes easily. The best part about it is that I can lay it outside, bring it with me anywhere and the dog still knows this as his bed without the basket. Usually the pillow ones I found are too big and get ruined too quickly because they are not easy to wash. I've had the same blanket and basket that 4 dogs now have shared for 8 years. :-)
