Q:How to deiron refractory?
It cannot be done in conventional approaches, because you are referring to refractories. If using acid liquor soaking method to deiron, the material itself will be also damaged! If just for reducing the corrosion of materials, it will be OK to add a corrosion-resistant and fireproof protection layer.
Q:Which schools are the best schools in the world for learning knowledge about refractories?
If you search on a worldwide scale, I might say you are ambitious!!! This major becomes an unpopular one and you must have to embark on graduate and PhD to specialize in it provided that you want to go abroad for further study. Wuhan University of Science and Technology may be the best school in this field with its close relatinship with many refractory manufacture factories across the country. Henan University of Science and Technology is also advisable in terms of this major, which probably promise you a job. Other universities in this regard are not quite familiar to me. You raised these questions, which shows that you are a layman to this major or not quite familiar with this major. If you have any questions, you can resort to me if I can.
Q:Could you tell me how does fire protection standard of decorative material is divided?
Building materials can be divided into four levels according to combustion performance (non-combustible, flame retardant, flammable, flammable). According to the Code for Design on Building Fire Protection and Prevention (GBJ16-1987) (revised in 2001):, the fire risk of production or storage is divided into a, b, c, d, e classes. Divided by plate material: structure material, base layel materials and fabric; Divided by fire protecrtion type: easy to burn, difficult to burn, flame retardant, incombustible material. Material has no fire rating, only the different from the time of combustion limit. Combustion performance grade A of commonly used adornment material: granite, marble, terrazzo, cement products, concrete products, gypsum, lime products, clay products, glass, ceramic tile, Mosaic, steel and alloy. I hope my answer can help you.
Q:How much is the content of boron carbide in refractory material?
Is it available to iron materials?. Answer: It can be applied to all products, what you need is just a general proportion. Nevertheless, you’d better tell me what product it is exactly.
Q:Which are roofing fireproofing material?
(1) Foamed concrete is a kind of fire-proof thermal inuslation matertial featured by good fire resistance and thermal insulation. Besides, it is also characterized by excellent sound proofing, penetration resistance, easy construction, safety and environmental protection without toxin and pollution. (2) Foam glass is featured by light weight, small heat conductivity coefficient and water absorbption, non-inflammability, fire resistance, high strength, no moulding, corrosion resistance, non-toxin and stable physical and chemical properties and thus widely used petroleum, chemical engineering and underground construction. It is also featured by thermal insualtion, heat/cold preservation and sound absorbption and thus can be used for thermal insulation of external wall and roof of civil builduing. Foam glass is featured by stable chemical property, easy to be processed and not easy to deforme, and durable. (3) With slag, basalt and other natural ore as the main raw material, rock wool, mineral wool and its products are made by high temperature melting into fiber, and then processing with binder. It has low thermal conductivity, fire resistance, easy construction and good effects of energy saving and thus is highly cost-effective. (4) With phenolic foam material as main material, phenolic resin plate is made by foaming thermoset phenolic resin. It is featured by light weight, fire resistance, no burning in the air, no smoking, non-toxin, no dropping and non-embrittlement and thus is an ideal thermal insulation material used in HAVC projects. Due to its high obturator formamen rate, low heat conductivity coefficient, good thermal insulation, water resistance and water vapor permeability, phenolic foam is an ideal thermal insulation material.
Q:who knows the fire resistant levels of fireproofing glass?
Fireproofing glass is a kind of special glass which can keep its integrity and thermal insulation performance in regular insulating refractory trials. and it can be divided into three classes according to its fire resistance: Class A, it's a kind of fireproofing glass that can satisfy the requirements of refractory integrity, refractory and thermal insulation at the same time. This kind of glass has the properiyies of transmittance, fireproofing ( smoke insulation, fireproofing, and keeping out thermal radiation), sound insulation, shock resistance, and it's suitable for steel and wooden fire door of building decoration, windows, varnishing, partition walldaylighting roof, ceiling screen, perspective floor and other construction components demading for transparency and fireproofing. Class B, it's a kind of fireproofing glass that can satisfy the requirements of refractory integrity, refractory and thermal insulation at the same time. Such kind of fireproofing glasses mostly are composite fireproofing glasses and has characteristics of transmittance, fireproofing and smoke insulation. Class C, it's a kind of fireproofing glass that only satisfies the requirements of refractory integrity. This kind of glass has characteristics of transmittance, fireproofing, smoke insulation and high strength, etc. It's suitable for fireproofing glass partition wall, fire Windows, outside curtain wall and other places without insulation requirements. Classify from the structure, fireproofing glass can be divided into composite fireproofing glass and monolithic fireproofing glass.
Q:What kind of refractory bricks material is best?
1, high alumina brick: The content of Al2O3 is more than 75. The refractoriness is higher than the clay brick. It has good resistance to acid, alkali and erosion and is suitable for cement kiln calcining zone and other places. It has long operation life, but the price is high. 2. dolomite brick: Formation of coating has good performance, good corrosion resistance, but f-CaO is contained in bricks. It is hydratable and difficult to transport and keep, so it is less used in the production. 3. magnesia-chrome bricks: It has good formation of coating and is used for burning zone. The disadvantage is poor thermal shock resistant performance. Besides, positive Hexavalent Cr is highly toxic. Countries that produce and use magnesia-chrome bricks gradually decrease on the international. Now production units using this brick should find alternatives as soon as possible. 4. spinel brick: It is often used in transitional zone and has good seismic performance, good reduction resistance, but refractoriness is a little bit poor. 5. anti-stripping brick: This brick contains a small amount of ZrO. Martensite phase transformation happens to form thin crack during temperature-rise period. It has strong alkali resistance, anti-stripping performance and good slag resistance. 6. phosphate brick: It has low refractoriness, but it has strong strength and good shock resistance. It is often used in grate cooler, hot kiln hood, etc. 7. carborundum brick: It has high temperature resistance(1800 degree, softening temperature under a fixed load is 1620-1640), small coefficient of thermal expansion, high cold-resistance heat-resistance, abrasion resistance. It is suitable for cooling zone and kilneye. 8. silmo brick: It has good thermal shock resistance, high strength, good abrasion resistance, and is suitable for transitional belt.
Q:Where is refractory used? Thank you!
Currently, refractory is widely used as inorganic nonmetallic material of production equipment lining in metallurgy, ceramics and other industries. The current definition of refractory does not only depend on whether the refractoriness is above 1,580℃.
Q:who knows the requirements of refractory for forge furnace?
Requirements are as follows: 1, it should have enough refractoriness and softening point under a fixed load. Because under the effect of electric arc, inner surface temperature in different parts of furnace lining can reach 1500 ~ 1800 ℃. 2, it should have strong slag resistance. Because slag and smoke at high temperature penetrate through furnace lining to its internal lining, causing the melting of refractory, organization stratification, and even peeling off. 3, it should have good thermal shock resistance. Because in the process of steelmaking, openning the oven door and lifting the furnace lid will make temperature of refractories in the furnace lining change rapidly, it might happen peeling off and cracking, causing the premature failure of furnace lining. 4, it should have sufficient strength, because the furnace lining will be shocked when being loaded, vibrated when being tilted, scoured by metals, molten slag and air flow when boiling. 5, smaller thermal conductivity, lower electrical conductivity. Commonly used refractories for electric furnace include magnesia bricks, dolomite brick, high alumina refractory brick, siliceous refractory brick and magnesite ramming material, etc. owing to the different work environment of each part of the furnace, refractory used by each part is also different.
Q:Can anyone tell me what is a high alumina refractory?
Refractories refer to a class of inorganic non-metallic materials whose refractoriness are no less than 1580 ℃. Refractoriness is the Celsius temperature when cone-shaped samples can resist high temperature without softening and melting down in the absence of a load. But it is not accurate to define refractory merely by judging that whether the refractoriness is no less than 1580 ℃. Currently, the materials whose physical and chemical properties allow them to be used in high temperature environments are called refractories. Refractory materials are widely used in metallurgy, chemical industry, petroleum, machinery manufacturing, power and so on, among which the metallurgical industry is the largest demander in this regard, accounting for 50% to 60% of total output. Hope it will help you out!
