Q:I have a shaft that is in a vertical position. I need to support the axial (vertical) and the radial (side) force. I can understand how to support the side force with the ball bearings. I would just slip the bearings through the shaft and then create some kind of housing and bolt it to a structure close to it. But the radial force? The ball bearings I have do not have any type of set screw, so their is nothing to lock it into place.
You might want to think about using a conical bearing race. It can support both rotational and thrust forces. Without knowing the specifics of the application,It's not possible to recommend a specific one. Ask again with specifics- shaft dia. rpm's- torque, etc. and I'll try to help you ! Good Luck !!
Q:i heard people said it makes it stronger. but i dont know if they meant only to put the wheels inside to make the wheels stronger. because i dont want to break my bearings.thankz.
yeah i put my wheels in the freezer every time i get a new pair, i would recomend putting the bearings in but when i freeze my wheels i freeze them in a solid block of ice for a month. i dont know if it works but ill take any advantage i can get
Q:If there is then please give me a link to them and name of the bearings
Look okorder /.. Those should be some good ones for you to check out, they are going to fast but like everything that s the best/fastest you have to pay for it!
Q:i am thinking about buying abec 9 bearings. Also i have some slow bearings too that i want to make faster.
bearings are very good. Like the Bones and Twin Cam, they are not ABEC rated because they can be made better by not following the standards for something else. It depends on why the slow bearings are slow. If they are cruded up inside (usually will sound or feel crunchy as you turn them) you need to clean them. If they got that way by running through water, there may be rust that will never clean out completely. It is possible that you got some that have a lot of grease in them. That can make a bearing really slow. The answer again is to clean it and lube it properly. Oil runs faster in bearings but you will need to reoil them more frequently (easier to do if you leave one shield off). Grease is slower but lasts a lot longer.
Q:So i just bought some sector 9 ABEC 7 bearings. Is it ok if i buy the speed cream lubricant, take the bearings appart, and apply the lub without cleaning them? They are Like less then a week old (the bearings).
First off, they are a downhill bearing, if your street or vert skating i recumbent independent 7's. Second, speed cream is only really necessary when your bearings start to wear down and start to slow and make that horrible noise. if you put it in straight away it won't do much but collect dirt. so just wait a while.
Q:ok I took apart my bearings, cleaned the shields with water, put about 2 drops of lube in each after letting the bearings sit in a 50% alcohol solution for 10 minutes, put it all back together after drying off the stuff and lubing it. Just rode it today and it seems that the bearngs are making noise.... is this normal???
the proper way to clean bearing is to soak them in karosene and then pack them w lube/ grease the alchol proally dried em out
Q:Wipeout/laid down my bike 2000 miles ago. Yesterday, I checked my crank, a little lose so I tightened it up. Awhile later a kind of light click clunk sound/feel when the right crank is a the 3 o'clock position. Even before every once in awhile down stairs there's a noise at no real position that sounds like my crank hitting the kick stand, but I have no kickstand. Is it the bearings or race going bad. I've had the similar click clunk sound on other bikes but never any other problems. Also, how long before it goes out, planning on a long trip in a month or 2?
Um, yeah. Bikeworks said it already. Actually, the noise COULD be a worn chain and freewheel. Does it feel as though the pedal is skipping? It could even be the chainrings as well. In this case it would possibly be cheaper to buy a new bike unless you have some sentimental attachment to it.
Q:what type of abecs, brand, ect. im tryin to build my own but i would like to know what good parts to put into it before i build it
thank you for your time have a nice day
Q:Are skateboarding bearings difforent sizes if i wanted bones reds?
Same Brand
Q:I have Super 6 Swiss bones bearings. I bought new rubber shields for them. I cleaned them with the bones cleaning unit and re lubed them but when i put the shields on they just wont move. They are called Non-contact rubber shields. it seems like for some reason they Are coming in contact with the bearing, what should i do?
Last time i couldn't put the bearing in the wheel i used a hammer to take out the bearing in to put it back in lol. Sorry if i didn't help you.
