The outer ring of drawn cup needle roller bearing is punched with the high-quality steel sheet. The outer ring has thin wall.The drawn cup needle roller bearing has the characterstics of small radial section area, large load carring capacity ,less inertia and economic manufacture. It is suitable for small section heght, or when the housing bore isnot used for raceway , this type is recommended to use .The bearing is assembled into the housing bore under a certain pressure without fu rther axial location.
The draw up needle roller bearing generally takes its shaft diameter as the internal raceway .However , the proper LR type inner ring can be used in accordance with application condition.

- Q:Can anyone explain what the symtoms of main bearings being bad versus rod bearings? I think I have a slight rod knock and am going to try and replace the bearings but I wanted to know if I have to replace the main bearings too or if there is a way to know. Also does anyone know if I can replace the main bearings on my car without having to pull the engine out? I know I can do this for the rod bearings by taking oil pan off and replacing them...I have a 1996 honda accord LX
- Yes, if your going to replace the rod bearings then change the main bearings as well. You can replace both of them without removing the engine if you know what your doing. Remove the main bearing cap and push the other half out by rolling it around the crank shaft. Easiest way to tell which it is, start engine and get noise to start. Pull spark plug wires one at a time, then reinstall. If the noise goes away at a certain cylinder then you found the bad rod bearing. If that doesn't work then it is most likely a main bearing. Only problem with replacing them in the car is you can't properly check bearing clearances on the crankshaft. Good luck

- The quality and condition of the surfaces in which the bearings ride is equally as important. This is where you'll find a lot of the cost of expensive hubs and bottom brackets. A good A grade stainless ball is fine used with machined, ground, and polished races and a very minimum of lubricant... just enough to cover the races and bearings. Putting high end bearings into average races will bring you no benefits other than bragging rights.

- It could be applicable to electric cars and also maybe more applicable in the AirCars that TATA is producing in India (and with plans here in the US). Where the air cars have a ready supply of compressed air they use for propulsion the electrics would need an electric motor to drive a compressor. The think is that since these bearings are frictionless the amount of energy used to feed the bearing only has to overcome the amount of energy normally consumed in friction. Not sure what bearings though... lots of bearings in any automobile, electric or otherwise. The thing is with air bearings the load has to be fairly constant. Could never use them in a recipocating mass like crankshaft, connecting rod bearings in an internal combustion engine. Would work in a turbo-charger though.

- are you sure only the rod bearings are affected and no damage to crank pin ? remove the oil pan and work under the engine. when you remove the oil pan you can have access to connecting rods, you just unbolt the rod cap and replace the bearings then re-torque back the cap's bolts. you may turn the crankshaft while working around on each rod..

- For cleaning it's OK, but you have to put proper oil on the bearing's before using it.

- I beleive they are the comparable bearing. Bones website calls the comparable bearing Swiss ceramic and Swiss ceramic labyrinth. Si, i could circulate with those that are the low-priced. in spite of the shown fact that, ceramic bearings are actually not cautioned for highway skating. The ceramic balls can not face up to the extreme results of touchdown from super heights. they are basically used for longboards the place speeds can attain in far greater advantageous than 50mph. in case you will concern your bearings to extreme landings, then decide for the labyrinth if used in a dusty or grimy ecosystem, and the standard Swiss if used indoors, or the place there is little dirt.
