Double hung windows

The steps of window construction:
Aluminum or PVC (UPVC) window is being made from Aluminum or UPVC profile, window accessories and glass.
To produce an Aluminum or PVC window you have to do the following steps:
Cut the profiles (Aluminum or uPVC Profile, reinforcement and Glazing bead)
Put reinforcement profile inside the uPVC profiles
Screw reinforcement profile into PVC profile
End mill the mullions
Open holes for door handles, sash fastener channels and espagnolette
Weld uPVC profile or Crimping Aluminum profile
Clean the welded corners of uPVC windows
Assemble window

- Q:Can a 1992 convertible Mazda Miata plastic window be replaced with a later model glass one?
- I need to replace my 1993 Mazda Miata soft top with plastic rear window to a soft top with a glass window. If a soft top with a glass window is installed, how would the top fold down considering there is glass window or will you ever be able to fold the soft top? A plastic window can easily easily but I don't see how it would. Thanks.

- SUPER GLUE!!! Nah, I'm just kidding. I am fixing to go MacGyver on you though. So you'll need a ball point pen, some Velcro strips, and four washers. If all else fails, if you can't get the specific parts from the dealer ( sometimes they sell them, sometimes they don't), if you can't find a junk yard, or for whatever reason. Take your window out, take apart the pen, cut it to fit through holes in the window, cut some square pieces of the soft Velcro to fit behind the washers(cushion), use some adhesive( a dab of rtv or something) to hold them in place and rivet. I've used this ancient art of the Mexican ways for generations... I now pass this on to you Grass Hopper!! If this doesn't work, get a paper clip, a piece of gum, and a pocket knife, and blow it up... LOL. But seriously give it a try if all else fails. You might end up having to use a combination of different things, but you get the idea.

- You got it Tape windows first, use a razor knife for corners.Now tape plastic to the tape on windows. Cut plastic smaller then window so you tape on tape.

- Q:I rent a townhouse that has very old windows.. LL will not replace them so im thinking of puttng plastic over the wndows.. we are not aloud to put plastic outside.,. - I used to live in an apartment with the same problem but the one answer that asked about the glasing, Don't. What he is refering to is caulk if you want you can get a couple tubes of clear caulk (Yes they do make it, and no it is not silicone) and put a small bead around the edge of the window. This will help some but the window plastic that a couple of the oter people suggested works wonderfully.
- Q:I have a Renault Clio authentique 1.2L and it has electric windows....there is a plastic clip attached to the back of the glass that i presume keeps the glass coming up and down at the right angle but it comes up really slowly and some times not at all....i think it has something to do either with the plastic clip or it needs more lubrication.....any help is appreciated. - High risk of damaging the plexiglass even if you get it off. Strong solvents are no better. Replace the plexiglass.
