Q:How to clean a large carpet?
Water soluble stainsWater soluble stains can be treated and cleaned with detergent solutions. From the periphery to the central scrub stains, cover a few layers of paper towel on the stains, and books or heavy objects on an hour for a new towel, then press the night, and then use the fingers to wipe out the pile, there is no problem. It is also worth mentioning that the use of an efficient vacuum cleaner can change the composition of suspended particulates (also known as aerosols) in the surrounding air. With the carpet surface dirt suction carpet can have enough space for air agitation and falling particles, and most bacterial embryos and particulate matter to be "seize the carpet". Indoor air, like a thorough cleaning, will eventually reduce the amount of harmful particles reaching the human lungs.
Q:how to remove nail varnish from carpet?
To remove nail polish from carpets, nail polish remover will work but you need to USE CAUTION because it can also remove dye from your carpet or upholstery. Also you can try bleach but only if you have a white carpet. On light colored carpet it might not be noticeable but on darker colors. TEST FIRST! Otherwise, a little nail polish will be the least of your worries. How about having to replace a whole roomful of carpet or trying to match the carpet color to dye one patch? For carpet, always test any kind of chemical stain remover/cleaner in an out of the way place like a corner. Under a cushion might be a good spot for upholstery.
Q:whats the diffrence between carpets and rugs?
Carpets are wall-to-wall... rugs are pieces of carpet with finished edges, or specially-made pieces, still with finished edges. Rugs are used to accent specific areas.
Q:if I bleach and dye throw rugs, will they turn out okay?
I would forego the bleach step, because it can damage fibers if you use enough bleach to remove the color. Plus, it takes a lot more dye to dye a light color dark. As long as the rugs are natural fiber, I would just dye over the dark blue with black; you should get a richer, darker color black rather than a more greyed-out color.
Q:big folds on a big area carpet rug?
Do you have a thick carpet pad beneath it? A good carpet pad will prevent a rug from creeping and creasing. Rotating the rug periodically will also help.
Q:Where can I sell a vintage polar bear rug?
Buying and selling bear skin rugs is legal in the United States; however, the rug must be made from a bear that was killed according to federal and state laws. The seller must prove the process by which the bear was legally killed. If the bear was shot in one state and the pelt is being sold in another, the process by which it arrived in the second state must be proven through documentation. The site below tells you how to do it.
Q:should i put my bearded dragon on sand or cage carpet?
Sand is hard to keep clean as it holds in bacteria and serves as a breeding ground for bacteria. It is also a common cause of intestinal impaction. I use non--adhesive shelf liner. It's cheap, looks great (lots of colors and patterns), easy to clean.
Q:Carpet for someone w/alot of pets...?
Yuck, stick with hardwood and buy sectional rugs. You have too many animals and they will ruin your carpet. It's always smart for animal freaks to stick with something they can toss out if their animals soil on it 10 times a day.
Q:Will my horse be okay without a rug for one night in winter? please help?
They're more likely to get sick from *being* rugged than not. Really, unless you have body-clipped them or maintained them under lights and with rugs to prevent any winter coat from developing, horses are much healthier if humans don't meddle in their thermo-regulatory functions. They can adapt to abrupt changes in temp if left to their own devices, but once blanketed they lose that ability because the blanket lays their hair down flat and doesn't allow responses to more or less heat/cold. The fact that so few horses get sick while using a rug/blanket is more of a testament to their hardiness than an endorsement of rugging. If the horse is healthy, had a decent layer of fat and haircoat, isn't wet and the wind isn't blowing hard, and it has enough hay/forage to stay warm, it can thrive in any weather. Think of all the wild or feral horses, and those whose owners allow them to be natural horses. Some don't even have those minimums I just mentioned - they live in the open, with no shelter from rain or snow, and the only feed available is under a meter of snow and the wind is blowing hard - they come through the winter a little thinner, but still healthy. Really, your horse will be fine. Consider leaving the rugs off unless it gets much colder than usual or if the horse is already sick from some other reason. In times like that, then yes it is good to provide a little more care.
Q:Carpet problem. Please Help!?
its just dust. That's why carpet isnt good to have in closed places or just generally in your house. It holds in lots of dust and pet hair and other stuff in the air that settles. Its most likely nothing toxic but it can have negative effects on health in the long run like shortness of breath. best advice...save up some money and remove the carpet and put tiles or hardwood flooring (easier to maintain too) Or you could vacuum like twice a week (at least).
