Specification of Substation Power Transformers
The design and manufacture of 220kV-500kV transformers are based on scientific research and rich manufacture experience. Our utmost aim is to achieve high reliability of the transformers in service. Until now failure rate of our 500kV transformers is still zero and conferred the “National important equipment award ” by IMPORTANT EQUIPMENT OFFICE of Chinese State Council.
Main Characteristics of Substation Power Transformers:
1. Sufficient margins of main insulation and longitudinal insulation:
Electric field stress of various parts are analyzed by computer programs to make sure they are smaller than allowables. The capacitance of various parts of windings are adjusted to get optimum matching and ideal electric potential distribution and impulse gradient distribution are obtained.
2. Low loss, high efficiency and no local overheating:
Based on the calculation of leakage flux, transpositions of winding conductors are decided and the magnetic shielding structures of steel structure are laid down. Non-magnetic steel parts are used in the surfaces of cores where flux density is high and separating grooves on it are set to effectively reduce additional losses.
3. Reasonable oil duct structure ,no oil-flow electrification:
Quantitative calculation and optimized adjustment on the oil flow distribution are done. Oil flow velocity is kept under 50cm/s. The high speed flow area is departed from high electric stress area.
4. Partial discharge :
The electric stress in the transformer is strictly controlled, and the shapes of electrodes is rounded to prevent the excessive high stress leading to partial discharge. Manufacture technology is enhanced and the cleanliness of transformer active part is ensured. Oil filling is performed under high vacuum. Oil-flow velocity is controlled, oil quality is strictly managed.
5. Tank structure and nice shape:
Bending press are used in the fabrication of tank to minimize the use of welding. Sealing surfaces are precisely processed, the assembly quality is managed to eliminate oil-leakage.
6. Short-circuit capability:
Based on our manufacture experience and short-circuit test, leakage flux distribution is improved and axial mechanical forces are reduced. The axial stability is increased by adopting phase winding assembly, winding drying heights. The radial stability is increased by reasonable choosing winding types and conductor size, decreasing electric current densities in conductors.
