Q:help with guitar pickup wiring?
Here's okorder.com/... The single coil will be very similar. You'll note that the humbucker has 4 wires, but two of them are soldered together. You can ignore them and wire your single coil like the other 2 wires. Bare wire goes to ground. White wire goes to the outside lug of the volume pot. Center lug of volume pot goes to output jack.....the part that connects to the tip of the plug. Opposite lug of volume pot goes to ground Outside ring of input jack goes to ground.
Q:Wiring connections for bathroom ventilation??
First of all, I agree with Peter K, and you must get those instructions--Very Important! How a fixture is wired depends upon its location in relation to the wires that lead from the main service entrance. So really no one can tell you for sure how to wire your ventilation fixture up without Seeing it. Also, how many switches are involved..1,or 2 or 3? Usually, White wires are always neutral, black always hot. BUT- in certain switch installations both black and white wires could be hot too. Red wires are used for grounding. Now there are improved grounding systems for greater safety, other colors involved, and jumper wires that are connected to the receptacle for a continuous ground. So that is why every one has answered your Q with caution about telling you how to do it. Sorry, I wasn't much of a help either!

Q:how to connect 4 wire to an 8 wire phone line?
Eight wires is usually CAT-5 for Ethernet (computer networking). It can be used for phone lines (I used it for phone lines when I put an addition on my house) A phone line uses two wires. If you look at a phone jack the middle two wires are line #1. If you have second line, the wires will be on each side of those two wires (surrounding it). If you have a third line it will be on either side of line 2. So a three line phone hack will have 321123 but if you only use line 1 you will only be using those two 1's in the middle. Color-wise: White with a little blue goes to solid green Blue with a little white goes to solid red White with a little orange goes to solid black Orange with a little while goes to solid yellow
Q:Magnetic field in parallel wires?
You can use the Biot-Savart Law, but it is confusing and kind of a waste of your time and space. For straight wires, someone ALREADY worked out the Biot-Savart Law. See the following link for the result: hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/Hba... The formula of interest for us is B = mu0*I/(2*Pi*r) where mu0 is magnetic permeability of free space, I is current, and r is distance from the wire carrying the current. B is the magnetic field due to that PARTICULAR wire. To deal with three wires, use a superposition principle and stack magnetic fields on top of each other. Do be aware of direction: remember the right hand rule. RH rule for magnetic fields in vicinity of wires: point thumb in direction of current, curl fingers to show the magnetic field circulation direction. Use this sign convention: + B is up along page, -B is down along page For Wire A: point of interest is r = d_ab/2 or 0.003 m to the right of wire A Point thumb in to the paper and the finger curl indicates that B_A is downward B_A = -mu0*I_A/(pi*d_ab) For Wire B: point of interest is r = d_ab/2 or 0.003 m to the left of wire B Point thumb out of the paper and the finger curl indicates that B_B is downward B_B = -mu0*I_B/(pi*d_ab) For wire C: point of interest is r = d_ab/2 + d_bc or 0.006 m to the left of wire C Point thumb out of the paper and the finger curl indicates that B_C is downward B_C = -mu0*I_C/(2*pi*(d_ab/2 + d_bc)) Add up: Bnet = B_A + B_B + B_C Bnet = -mu0*I_A/(pi*d_ab) - mu0*I_B/(pi*d_ab) - mu0*I_C/(2*pi*(d_ab/2 + d_bc)) Simplify: Bnet = -mu0/pi*(I_A/d_ab + I_B/d_ab + I_C/(d_ab + 2*d_bc)) data: mu0:=4*Pi*10^(-7) Tesla-m/A; I_A:=4 A; I_B:=4 A; I_C:=4 A; d_ab:=0.006 m;d_bc:=0.003 m; Result: Bnet = -6.667 milliTeslas negative sign indicates downward direction.
Q:how to wire a new plug on a wire?
If the cord has three wires, black to the brass screw, white to the silver screw, and green to the green screw. If the cord has just black and white, ditto, except use a two-prong replacement plug, no green. If the cord is flat - no colors, just two wires side-by-side - the smooth side to the brass screw, the ribbed side to the silver screw.
Q:how do i wire a new light to old wiring, i have 2 red & 2 black wires & no earth wire from ceiling.?
No! Wire the new light exactly like the light that you removed. If you don't remember what wire went where on the old light then you made a mistake by removing the old one without marking the wires or at least taking a cell phone picture or something. It sounds like there is probably more than one light fixture being controlled by that switch. It's hard to tell by your description. Electrons don't flow by wire color. There is no way to really tell what is going on by naming colors. Come back on here when you have a better description of what is going on. How many lights come on when you flip that switch? Is there more than one switch that controls that fixture? Which wires were hooked to the old light? Are any of the wires still wire nutted together? Don't be experimenting by hooking that earth ground wire to any other wire. Leave it hooked to the ground lug on the box. It has nothing to do with the light operating. It's for safety.
Q:what are the electrical used in wiring plan?
wire Straight line, junction box -x switch x with a line Thur it out let sq with dots motors circle with line Thur it the only time I know of a symbol is used is in schematics house wiring just shows where the main box is switches ,lights motors , outlets , voltage
Q:what type of wire can u use for amp?
Home okorder.com/... (spanky, well trying to run solid wire in a car would be a real task! lol) And, 4 gauge can handle more than 95 amps.
Q:Is there a way to connect a 3-wire thermostat in a 2-wire house?
Connect a new piece of 3 wire to the existing 2 wire and pull it through the wall by pulling the 2 wire. Of course if it gets stuck you will need to measure how far you pulled to know where to cut a hole in the wall. Cutting a hole in the wall if needed, isn't a big deal you just put the piece back, screw or nail it down (cut so you have studs on both sides to reattach it later) tape and plaster and paint.
