Q:I need the wiring diagram for the factory radio of a 2008 ford explorer. i need to know which wires are for the back speakers so i can connect my Hi-Lo converter to it!? thanks
I'm sorry to tell you this but I have searched on several occasions for automobile wiring diagrams and have yet to find one. I don't think they post them on the web. IMO your best bet is a Chilton or Haynes manual for your vehicle. If someone does give you a good site I would be very appreciative if you would forward it to my profile.
Q:like lets i want to want to connect my speaker wires with other wires can i use elmer glue so that it sticks and will the wires still work?
There are three methods i would use personally, glue is a terrible choice. 1. Easiest - Strip the two tips of the wire, Twist them like he stated and put electrical tape to keep the current inside and wires together. This works but the wires can slip with the slightest pull sometimes. 2. Medium but still easy - Purchase butt connections (least thats whati callem lol) - Basically its this Red/Yellow/ or blue, cylinder about an inch long and just a little thicker then the wire itself. The exterior is a plasitc like substance and the inside is a Metal tube. Strip both ends, stick them in and use a Wire Crimping tool to crimp both ends and i do the center of the connection. This gives you a secure connection with minial work. 3. More difficult - Soddering. You'll need a soddering gun and electrical tape for this and also is the best connection youll get when hooking to wires together. Strip both ends, Twine them together and then you use the soddering gun to bascially drip metal into the twisted wires connecting them forever, unless you cut them.
Q:I am replacing my old electric oven with a new one. The wires on the old oven are the same as the wires on the new oven...white, red, black, and a bare wire. The wires running from the fuse box to the junction box are...white, black, and bare wire. This is 220/240 wiring from the fuse box. The oven does require 220/240. How do I wire the new oven?

Q:i just bought a 97 jeep wrangler..the soundbar isnquot;t hooked up. I pulled the carpet back and found the following: a red wire connecting the soundbar to under the dash (probably power), and a black wire connecting the soundbar to metal. there are 4 small wires unattached to anything coming from the soundbar, and a red and white sound wire coming from under the dash (actually has plugs like on a tv surround system), and a ground wire all unattached. how can i hook this mess up to make the soundbar work. i do have sound coming from the front dash speakers. thanks for help.

Q:A 5.07 m length of 2.1 mm diameter wire carries 703 mA current when 22.3 mV is applied to its ends. Determine the resistivity of the wire.
Resistance of a wire in Ω R = ρL/A ρ is resistivity of the material in Ω-m L is length in meters A is cross-sectional area in m? A = πr?, r is radius of wire in m Use current and voltage to determine resistance. Plug that into the above and solve for ρ. Be sure to change numbers into meters.
Q:What are the range specs when testing resistance on your spark plug wires ?
RE: What range in ohms are spark plug wires normal? What are the range specs when testing resistance on your spark plug wires ?
Q:I removed the thermostat before marking the wires and I need to know if anyone knows which wires go where?
Hello Kaitlin: It depends on what wires come from the furnace. You will need to go to the furnace and look at the wires. If it is a gas furnace (with air cond.), there should be a R terminal with a red wire attached this is the power line. The W terminal (heat) has a white wire attached. The G terminal (fan) should have a green wire. The C (common) terminal may have a blue or black wire (or not). The Y (cooling) terminal may have a yellow wire. If it is a heat pump, the wires will be R (power), Y (compressor), O or B (reversing valve), G (fan), C (common), the backup heat has different designations, from W2 to Aux, others. There should be a legend on the furnace to assist. Good luck.
Q:I'm doing a science project on resistance and I need several different types of wire. I know to use copper wire, but what else could I ask for at a hardware store?

Q:When it is time to replace wiring in a building?
Should your power needs increase, you can add additional circuits without having to replace the existing ones. Typically you'll need to replace wiring if it has become damaged or is otherwise worn out. Wires may be damaged due to a variety of reasons. Rodents are notorious for chewing on exposed wires in attics and other crawl spaces. Construction and re-modeling may damage wires. Wires can also wear out due to age or extreme conditions of heat or cold. Very old wires used before the 1960s made use of rubber and fabric for their insulation. These materials would degrade over time, resulting in shorts and arcing, which poses a fire hazard. These wires should be replaced - at a minimum, they should be protected with an arc-fault interrupter circuit protector. There is some debate that older copper wire contains too much oxygen, which can cause issues, but this is not conclusive yet. In some cases, you might need to replace older wire in order to make use of modern appliances. For example, very old homes might utilize 3-wire 240 volt circuits. Modern 240 volt appliances, like your kitchen stove, cannot use this wire - they require a type of cable with 4 wires.
Q:I need to rewire my boats trolling motor wiring.. I have a 55# thrust trolling motor witch draws about 45-50 amps under a full load. I have 8 GA on hand I could use.. but would I get full power out of my motor? Does 8 gauge wire support 50 amps? It is stereo wire.. Braided copper wiring.
How long is the wire run? 8-gauge can handle 50 amps safely, but you may get an unacceptable level of voltage drop if the wire run is very long. If it's just a few feet, it should be fine. If you have enough wire, you can always use two runs. If you combine two 8-gauge wires, it's the equivalent of a 5-gauge wire.
