Q:about a jvc wiring harness?
Do you have a wiring diagram for your car? In there, they have the color codes for the speakers, dash illumination ( so when you change the lighting on your dash, your radio will change too), power attena, constant power for the clock and presets. If you don't have the diagram, check online for it. If you bought your deck from crutchfield, they include plugs that fit your car so you dont have to cut wires. Good lluck with it.
Q:Electrician please - wiring question for dimmer switch?
Your switches are wired so that they can both control the light. That is: you can turn it ON with switch 1 and turn off with switch 2, and vice-versa. These are called two-way switches. They have three wires connected to each switch to enable this clever stuff to happen. Your dimmer switch has two terminals because it is a conventional one-way switch and intended to be used all on its own. It not possible to convert the conventional dimmer switch into a two-way switch and it would be almost impossible for you to convert the circuit to use a 2-way switch in conjunction with the dimmer. You won't be able to buy a two-way dimmer for domestic use. Sorry, but you want to do is impossible without some very specialised knowledge and expensive kit, It's not practical for domestic circumstances. The best thing you can try is to get an adaptor to plug into the light socket which will act as a dimmer. The bulb plugs into the bottom of the adaptor. The pair of two-way switches will operate as normal and the adaptor device will do the dimming for you. These things usually have a remote control to work the dimming circuit. Cost about £15-£29. Try the better electrical shops such as Maplin or John Lewis. EDIT. They are not three-way switches like TJ suggests. These are different things entirely. You would have three of them and even more wires behind them. The dimmer switch does not operate by reducing voltage like another person suggests. They are not simple variable resistors. Dimmer switches contain special circuits which modify the alternating current waveform. This is one reason why they cannot be used with energy-saver bulbs or transformer-fed low voltage bulbs.
Q:Which wire goes with which wire on the other side? (Foto)?
I'm not sure of your electrical system over there (except that it's 50HZ) The green/yellow wire is probably the ground (see which one is screwed into the frame of the oven to be sure) the other two shouldn't matter because it's probably a 240V unit, right?
Q:Trying to wire up a toogle swithch for boat light. What wire go were?
Like so: Battery (+) to inline fuse holder (within 6 inches of the battery). Fuse holder to switch. Switch to light. Light to battery (-). If you don't know what amp fuse you need, 3 amps should be more than enough in most cases. Please, please, please don't leave out the fuse -- boat wiring is subjected to a lot more shock, vibration than household or automotive. If the insulation gets chafed off the wires (more common than you might think) you can get a direct short to ground, which *will* get hot enough to start a fire. You really don't want to be dealing with a fire on your boat. Sounds like your switch is faulty. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ just read kilo's answer -- that's an interesting way to use a DPST switch. It'll certainly work, but seems a bit redundant to me. I just thought they were handy for switching two devices with separate 12V feeds (I used one for my helm lighting, with the tach being powered from the keyswitch accessory post, so it only lights up when the key's on). but he makes a good point; if your switch has 4 contact points (instead of just 2), make sure you use 2 on one side or the other (rather than the top 2 or bottom 2).
Q:wiring schematic for harley L.E.D. tail light?
Harley Led Tail Light
Q:where can i get a wire diagram for 1988 rinker cuddy cabin boat?
a small boats wiring cant be very complicated. If you're needing to replace it get a book called Small Boat Wiring or a similar. If you're trying to find a fault with existing wiring simply trace the existing wires remake all the connections as you go. I suggest you pull the lot out redo it properly. Except for the electric start you dont need super heavy cabling for a small boat. Tinned multi strand wire with a core diameter of about 2 mm is fine. Get a roll of red one of black ( or use red/black figure 8 cable) From the battery fit a service fuse of about 15 - 20 amp in line with the positive cable right near the battery. Use only properly crimped screwed or soldered connections. If the connection is ever likely to get wet then cover the connection with a piece of heatshrink tubing with a good smear of neutral cure silicone inside it. The silicone should squeeze out both ends of the tube when you shrink it. Dont make any joints mid run ( never in the bilges). Make sure the wiring is secured where it is out of the way is neat. Support the wire near the connections. Run from the switch panel to each item as a separate circuit, dont daisy chain. Give each item its own cable including the return (black wire) brought back to the panel. Be neat make a permanent record of what you've done. Fuse each circuit with a fuse rated about 50% above what that item should draw. Always carry plenty of spare fuses.
Q:Electric wiring messssssssssssssss?
It will conduct, it may also overload and melt the insulation on the wire without tripping a breaker. The purpose of a breaker is safety, one aspect is if a wire isn't large enough to carry the current applied it gets hot. If you have 15 amps from two breakers (on the same leg) the current on the neutral could be double the amount the wire is safe to carry, but the breakers won't sense a problem and may melt the insulation on the wire carrying 30 amps. There are a few instance that a neutral can legally be shared by multiple circuits, many restrictions apply, and conductors from separate romex cables do not satisfy any legal circumstance I can think of.
Q:Why does my stereo wires have more than 1 of each color?
Each okorder.com/... That site should bring you some clarity.
Q:I need some help wiring my radio?
what you need to do is buy the book for your car at autozone. and look at the radio wiring diagram. i had a similiar porblem but with the book it shall tell you were to hook the wires
Q:My rabbit is chewing wires?
There is a pet spray called Bitter Apple. My rabbit hate it. You can usually buy it at a pet store.
