- they would last for years if you dont pull them or stomp on them... they are that good!
- Q:I am doing a test if the power supply.Can you have the computer on and plugged in with PSU out in the open, leave on the carpet ?Can you have the power cable plugged into the psu first and then try to plug in the psu cable into the mother board. Would this electrocute you? if you accidentally knocked over liquid onto the power supply while the computer is running and you touched the motherboard at the same time while you are perfectly grounded. Can this electrocute you? unpluging the psu connector while the computer is on?
- You can but I wouldn't I build PCs all the time in test configurations outside of the case, but I always have everythign on non conductive serfaces, ie wooden tables. Carpet would be a little to staticy for me. Your second scenario leaves two answers for me, both are no, but for different reasons. If I plug a psu into a motherboard with power allready in it, I could short out the motherboard or worse yet shock myself. Also, I don't want to plug a power cable into a psu without any load on the device, doing so can and will fry the psu. depends on the liquid, if it is dionized water, you can turn the pc off dry it out and may be lucky enough not to fry your system. if it is soda,tap water, or salt water of any kind, don't touch it. I don't care if you THINK you are grounded, even if you were, the current would still flow through you, and if you pulled away, out of sudden suprise, then you would get electricuted, not good. Unbluggin the power cord from the powersupply will not be the biggest problem, unless you have very sweaty hands and the air is very dry. Just don't play with electricity

- Q:Hey,I left my PS3 in the living room, and I think the dog peed up it. Stupid place to leave it, I know. Anyway, I brought it back upstairs, hooked it up but when I went to plug the power cable in, there was a real loud buzzing sound coming from the PS3, right where the cable goes in. When I unplug it from the PS3, it stops. I tried leaving it to dry, and making sure there was no moisture present inside the machine, but I tried hooking it up again and got an electric shock up my arm from it.Should I buy a new cable, leave it to dry, or is there something inherently wrong with the PS3 now?Thanks :)
- Ive never come across this before. Maybe its because i don't no anyone who has a dog which has peed up there PS3. I would suggest you dont get a other cable because that one might break aswell due to water getting in your ps3. If i was you i would contact Playstation or the store you got it from for more advice. Like i say im not sure and i dont think many people will come across this problem.
- Q:What does the watt rating mean on amp power cables?
- in a lot of cases - not much. The name brands usually mention only total RMS power rating, and those are fairly trustworthy. But the off brands often use peak power ratings. That can mean many things from wiring kit to wiring kit, and lots of other things when you compare one amp to another. So if you're looking at an off brand wiring kit I would advise looking past the power rating and see what size fuse is included with it. That's the best way to know the actual current the wire can handle, and you can figure that for every 100A you're good for about 1000w rms.
- Q:my friend and i were installing a subwoofer in his car and the rem cable touched the amp and caused a short. the cd player does not turn on any more and we could not find any problem anywhere the only fuse blown was the fuse on the power wire for the amp and that should not have any effect on the cars cd player what could be wrong? (the fuse on the back of the cd player was not blown this leads me to believe there is nothing wrong with the cd player and it is not fried)
- 1, why was the power wire hot, should have the batter disconnected before anything else sounds like it sent a power spike into the cd player, try to manually put power from a known 12v constant course to both the memory and key on power wire to the cd player, if still nothing you have an internal problem with the cd player, if it comes on you have a problem with the car wiring

- Yes it does Adding to that, you need a TV with an hdmi port Also, the power cable doesn#x27;t come with a brick like the Xbox one does
- Q:as far as i know, the only cable that connects the hdd with my motherboard is the sata cable, is this the cable that will do both transfer data and also provide electricty? or do i need another cable to connect the hdd and to power supply? same for my sata dvd burner, thx!
- also to add in for the power connector. check the back of you HDD to see if it has the dual power connector on the back. i have seen alot of them with both a standard IDE connector and a sata connector choice for giving it power. i put a WD sata 80 gig in my girlfriends with the dual set-up. nothing in the system was sata till i got ahold of it. put a sata card in with the drive and the 7200rpm's made the 1100 athlon alot faster.
- Q:i lost my power cable (GRAY CORD IN THE BACK THAT WILL POWER IT) and i need the first version power cable.please make sure its under 110$ and can be bought at a store or website!
