- Q:I am custom designing our new modern bathroom's vanity. Our old 80's style vanity was 21" deep (from the front to the wall). I have seen some between 18" and 24" deep. What are the advantages of going deeper or shalOKorderr?I am thinking since it is a smaller bathroom, a shalOKorderr vanity might make it look more spacious. If it matters, it will be a floating vanity as well with minimal solidity (more "airy" and see-through than normal I guess you could say). Opinions? GO!

- Q:Like to know if anyone has used kitchen cabinets for a bathroom vanity at a finished height of 36" and had problems with it size in the bathroom. I read another old post that said it was too big for her she was 5' 2" and so am I. Said getting close to the mirror was a problem. Anyone done this.
- The height of the kitchen cabinet is not really the problem, but the depth can be problematic for some people. Most kitchen base cabinets are 24 inches deep, where bathroom cabinets can be 14, 16, 18', etc. If you use the kitchen cabinet, do you have a vanity ready for this? It would be a huge sink. If you're remodeling, I'd suggest going to check out samples of bathroom vanity cabinets. The depth of the vanity varies and cultured tops can be any size. They are always on sale at Home Depot. Consider something that is not deep and something you can live with. Another option would be to consider a pedestal sink and these can be very shallow in depth. You should consider doing some customizing since you will be both using this. My wife is 5'3' using a pedestal sink and uses the mirror just fine. I had a mirror cabinet mounted 3' OKorderr than standard and she's happy with the results. If you have that extra kitchen cabinet, don't use it in the bathroom. It will work better in the garage. It will save you grief in the long run because as you get older, you won't want to lean over the sink to get to the mirror.

- Dear you will never find a quality class plug separately without the vanity light. My suggestion is, don't use distinctive accessories with same product & different brand name, it will not survive for longer period of time.I mean 'Good Match Makes Life Time Experiences' :) LoLzz

- Q:I had some black hair dye accidentally get on my bathroom vanity top. The vanity top is white not marble not granite not sure the material. The apartment is very new everything is pretty high end so it may be marble but the color is white. I put bleach on the stain to remove it but it turned it a light green color? Should I try more bleach? Or just hire a professional cleaner to try and remove the mess?has anyone experienced this? - I recently had a similar problem, and I did the same thing cats 3 recommended. I used baking soda and a good sponge, and it scrubbed out 99.9% of the stain. It was someone else's bathroom counter, so it saved my hyde from getting in trouble. Baking soda or toothpaste can do wonders!
