Q:Run a air conditioner off solar panel?
Solar Panels Air Conditioner
Q:Solar panels...??? HELP!?
Solar panels are primarily used to make electricity. What you choose to do with this power is up to you. New solar technology now looks to give the panels more than this one task. For example; - solar panels made into the shape of roof tiles can also be used for roofing. - thin film solar is being developed to add to cars and other mobile devices to provide portable DIY energy
Q:how to power a 400 watt heater with solar panels and batteries?
well, you need to produce 3200 watt-hours per day with your solar panels how many you need depends on the type of panel and size and how much sun you get (the energy of the rays depends on your latitude and the time of year) the amount of batteries you need again depends on your requirements and your insolation if you only need to heat when the sun is shining then you don't need any batteries at all if you want to heat for 8 hours after the sun has quit shining then you obviously need batteries to hold 3200 watt-hrs of electricity to actually size a 3200+ watt-hr solar system you need a lot more information
Q:Where can I get damaged solar panels?
Test the battery. Connect the positive and negative terminals of the battery to the positive and negative probes of the voltmeter. If a voltage is read, the battery is still good. Remember, however, that this is a rechargeable battery, so if it is dead, it can be recharged.
Q:Why dont we have a gigantic solar panel system in the warm states, stretching miles across to supply the usa?
This is a great idea, but there are some intrinsic difficulties with the theory: First, the average US household uses 27.4kWh of power per day= aprox. 0,000 kWh per year. Solar panels create kWh/m^2/day. Therefore you would need 27 m^2 (290 ft^2) of solar panels per household. Not only does that use a lot of space, but it would also cost a fortune. We also have to take into account that the government does not want us to become dependent of oil for many reasons. Therefore it is unlikely the government would ever consider paying for it. Lastly, for power grids to stay functional at all times, backup power plants must be kept 'hot', to replace solar power stations as they stop producing. There is an energy cost to keep plants 'hot', which includes (in the case of coal plants) the burning of coal. Unfortunately, if the country is not willing to accept brownouts, the carbon footprint of any large scale solar project will have to accept the 'hot' non-producing power plants carbon emissions as their own. The continued advances in the ability to store electricity will greatly impact the successful implementation of a large scale solar power station being, carbon footprint free. However, it would be possible for every household to have their own solar panels. Since they would need about 290 ft^2 (or 5ft x 5ft), then it does seem reasonable that they could have this much on their roof or land somewhere. Any additional energy you make from the solar panels you can sell back to the power plants and make money. They could then use this extra energy to cover in brown out situations, etc. In order for this to work though, we would all need to be responsible for purchasing and installing our own solar panels. It would be nice if the government would offer greater incentives to do so.
Q:What is the real cost of Solar Panels?
They don't sell them by the square inch. It costs about $0 per watt of generating capacity. Unless you are connected to the grid you will need a battery bank to storage power for rainy days. As for the effects of weather ... you can probably make a cover out of plywood... but if your house blows away the solar panel goes with it. Before you buy one make sure your insurance covers it.
Q:Why do people use solar panels?
I doubt the immediate economy has much to do with it. Solar panels require long-term investment, so in hard times, someone having trouble making ends meet is not going to be buying solar panels, when they could be buying food. It's like if someone has a gas guzzler, if they get laid off, they're not going to spend their savings on a new, fuel efficient car, even if it saves money in the long term. However, it's generally the more wealthy that install solar, and they're not impacted as much by a slow economy. Human nature being what it is, I doubt many people install solar to save the planet. There will be some, but I suspect most are interested in the long-term financial savings. I'm kind of unusual, in that our panels are break-even financially at best. The main reason I put them up was for the fun of learning and doing it.
Q:Information Regarding Solar Panels?
366 W/square meter on March 2 and tweaked based on lattitude eff = W out/Sun W in there are special heat meters to measure W in ======== IEC 62688 Certification; and UL cert in USA
Q:How can a solar panel work for me?
Sounds okorder.com.. I've seen the particular device listed there. While the lamp is mediocre for an LED light source, the panel is excellent - real polysilicon wafers, in an aluminum frame. Same construction as the kind of panels in commercial installations.
Q:how do you make solar panel?
Solar panel is a sheet of highly expensive, purest Silicon manufactured in a factory of exceptional killingly stringent specifications. You can't do that as a cottage industry, at least the material.
