Q:What hazardous gas release from burning plastic. What type of gas mask to prevent it?
Most of the gas will be carbon dioxide, and solid carbon soot. Some plastics contain cyanide and can be released when burned. Plastics should be recycled, not burned. Even if you have a mask on, the gasses escape and enter the environment. They may not directly effect you, but may effect the plants, animals and humans nearby.
Q:carolina rigs - which plastics to use?
Any Plastic! Try a Baby brush hog!
Q:strongest glue to hold plastic?

Q:Can aquatic snail eat plastic plants?
an answer? NO they don't eat plastic but they eat the micro algae found on them. these micro algae grow everywhere in your tank and they feed on these. honestly.. I don't know any snail which reproduces on it's own as all animals need a partner to procreate. If you later plan to have two, make sure they are not considered invasive, some snails I recommend are apple snails because they are easy to control as they lay eggs outside the water and can be easily removed. However silk plants are better as they offer a realistic flexability and are soft enough to prevent damage on fish bodies, especially fancy fish. And,you could put hardy plants which will not be eaten by snails. Some snails do noy eat the fresh plant itself but eat the dead leaves of the latter so have a look at the species of snail you have. hope it helps
Q:Which product do you think is more environmentally friendly? Wood or Plastics?
Plastics can be recycled in a matter of days, and even though wood will be used by nature to produce, in time, more trees..it just takes to long. So as long as you recycle....plastic all the way.
Q:need quick drying plastic glue?
super glue? if not try tacky glue... it comes in a gold bottle and available at most craft stores. :)
Q:Plastic tablecloth and mod podge bowl?
No - mod podge won't hold plastic together - it has to soak in.
Q:Is plastic harmful? blablabal?
I don't trust plastic. When heated I know it can leach out carcinogenic chemicals. It's full of them. I don't know if just putting a bottle cap in your mouth would do it but there are no benefits from doing that. Seems like the rise of cancer coincides with the rise of plastic materials.I wonder if your parents never drink out of a plastic bottle. My suggestion is don't heat food in plastic or pour hot liquids into a plastic container to drink.
Q:cleaning melted plastic on appliances.?
Hi, try some spray oil, and leave it for an hr, then attempt to gently scape it again, or, put some hot water in it and then heat it until it boils/simmers, during this time, gently scrape. I believe this will solve your prob. ...otherwise, switch on your fan and melt it off, but only as a last resort. O.K? Chris...
Q:What paint to use on plastic?
I okorder.com/ There are instructions on the can for preparing the plastic for best adhesion of the paint. If you're looking for paints to paint with using small brushes, etc., though, you can use various paints on top of their dried primer or on top of any color of their plastic paint. Or perhaps glass paints would stick to rough plastic (but I think they're usually translucent?), etc. For using *directly* on the plastic though, you'd need to watch out for using paints with petroleum solvents in them (some are called enamels) if you didn't seal/prime the surface first because those can begin to dissolve the plastic over time--making it sticky, then eventually melty and yukky. Since you've *already* marked the pattern, using a spray paint will be more difficult, though you could mask off areas around your lines perhaps as part of the solution. Or you could trace your lines onto netting or that very-thin-see-through pattern-making sheeting from the fabric store, then redraw the pattern onto the trunk after applying and drying the plastic paint or primer (right through the netting or sheeting). Or you could use one of the other transfer methods that use graphite pencils, or transfer papers (like those for drafting or for sewing), etc. HTH, Diane B.
