ive never actually washed any of my rugs, but i hose down my saddle blankets. yo could always waterblast it, thatd be sure to get the hair out. if i out even a small saddleblanket in the washign machine, there seems to be hair on anythign that comes out of the machine for the next few washes. so i wouldnt put the rug in anything that isnt used solely for horse supplies

Q:We want our living room to be black and blue. Right now, we have a black leather couch with blue throws on it and we need curtains and an area rug. I wanted a neutral rug with a little blue and blue curtains, but I cannot find any rug that fits that description and I have looked at millions of rugs. I am thinking I should just settle for a plain blue rug and get a neutral curtain. My husband thinks we could get a blue rug and blue curtains, but I think that is way too much blue for one room. What should I do?

Clean the rug, ask your local Pet Marts for the best cleaner, it also helps with allergies, I have seen them in the store, sorry, don't remember the brand name right off. Then ask your vet for allergy pills for her....your parents should not have to remove their carpet, there are other solutions, and you could keep her in another room, but that would be said to shut her up alone.. but, when you all are gone, put her in your bedroom, so she won't be on the rug...this will help. good luck

Q:every time i leave the housemy cat pees the rug even when we are sleeping. we have tried every thing with the viniger and that stufff that cleens the rug and takes away the odor. the rug is by the window cill and there are some stray cats running around outside. every time she does is we flick her nose and put her in our bathroom. plz help i`m tired of scrubbbing my carpet.

Flicking your cat and putting her in the bathroom wont help. Cats arn't able to connect being put in the bathroom with punishment for peeing. Instead schedule her/him for a vet appointment. If your cat can't control its bladder, there might be some other health problem causing that. Or, if your cat isnt fixed or neutered...that could be causing some frustrations instigated by the outside cats resulting in spraying. In the mean time, invest in a carpet shampooing vaccume. Instead of just steaming, they steam and shampoo and they even sell special pet oder/stain removing detergent to use in them. Then, get some baby gates from a friend (people love getting rid of them) and close off a few spaces for kitty until you figure out the problem. Good luck!

Hey, U.P., what's up? Sometimes we just have to be proud of the fact that even three and four year olds can use computers these days. Other times, we need to figure out how to invent a childproof locking keyboard. I mean we keep 'em out of aspirin bottles and there are trigger locks for guns. I know the computers have anti-child settings, but those are software solutions. We need a physical lock for our keyboards!

It all depends on the source of the odor. If it is something like urine, rotting food or anything else organic, I recommend Nature's Miracle. The enzymes in it break it down and neutralize it. You can get it at pet supply stores. My second choice would be Odo-Ban. They sell this at Sam's. Just follow the directions for best results.

spank your cat until it behaves..... Seriously you needed to put towels, to draw the oil out first thing. Keep doing that until there is none left to draw. Naptha as in Fels naptha or you might try lighter fluid....make sure you are well vented. A wet vac MIGHT do the trick as in the local carpet shampoo rental place. If all else fails call a pro. Obviously your concerns are an oil based product which might harm the dyes...or loosen them and anything else strong enough to attack the oil may be too strong for the dyes.... Oil lamps really should be kept in a safer place and used only as an aux light source when the electric goes out....open fire lighting has ALWAYS been dangerous....not trying to sound lecture like but over the years I have learned both candles and oil lamps are probably not a good thing in lieu of flashlites....not as romantic but far less likly to take out your entire house.
